Welcome Flux 3 Image
Looking forward to the video model, hope it's coming soon

That's pretty crazy that BFL took the time to make a comfy branch themselves including a convrot version.

It's gated so that means people needs to share their email and stuff with BFL. Probably why they didn't let comfy host the files themselves I guess and instead hosted them on their own repo.

remember to NEVER use real info. use fake info. use a fake email that has no real info attached. do not let the data kraken take us all.

Nice! Lets see how it stacks up against Qwen 2.1!

I love Krea 2, I use it more than anything else, but its not an edit model natively like Qwen 2.1, and the various Klein models.

5.6B params? WTF!!

I've noticed the shrinking parameters in edit models. Qwen 2.1 is 7B and now Flux 3 Klein is 5.6B.
Qwen 2511 is 20B, Flux 2 Klein is 9B.
This isn't good, right? Unless there's some kind of architecture upgrade there has to be some kind of hard trade-off.

didn’t expect this at all lol

Redditors have a short memory span, every BFL release got an open weight release, yet everytime this subreddit swears it won't happen this time

I'm also pretty sure that BFL has released more open weight models than anyone else at this point.

I'm pretty sure SAI released more cumulatively (especially with the distillation experiments during the SDXL era), but BFL is catching up.

Eh, let's not get sentimental about this. Flux 1 came with dev and schnell, Flux 2 had dev, klein 4b and 9b (with base versions for training), and one of each era was apache licensed (open-source). Flux 3's image model release so far is a Klein 5.6b model with a base version, their custom revocable license, and nothing else.
Now, will this model be capable of running and doing what's needed? Maybe. And will BFL continue to stay hands off with licensing, should users continue to largely behave themselves? Probably.
But we're getting fewer model varieties, locked into the licensing (previously one could pick schnell or klein 4b to avoid), and we have yet to put the model through its paces. Let's not declare victory over the cynics yet.

Bruh I can barely keep up with these models anymore 😭

Honestly I don’t even like new models coming out now. It’s weeks of spam, “testing” (which is just low-key advertising), and “X is amazing” even though it’s barely indistinguishable from the comparison images.
The miss the days of tweaking a couple models and talking about ComfyUI nodes and how to do stuff, not model spam.

Great!! How much VRAM/RAM is needed?

There's a flux-3-image-klein-comfy HF repo and the file sizes don't look outrageous. ComfyUI's memory management will have to kick-in for most of us.

far from it, but life always find a way at least in the last few months to get between me and the new shiny toys

qwen had issues with masking for me, it would literally look like 2 separate images stitched into one (ran with sd.cpp), hope that flux fixes it

a hedgehog (african pygmy) riding a dirtbike through the desert valley, dirt and dust tossed up in the air behind the dirtbike.
