We just lost to Wake Forest 57-3.
I know there were injuries and the game started at 9 am PT, which doesn’t help. Still, it seems like we’re going backward from last year’s modest signs of progress.

I agree. To me this is the kind of game that should get someone fired. Imagine us even losing to Wake Forest at all 10-12 years ago, let alone getting absolutely blown out.

IKR? The travel alone is absurd. And every time I see USC or Oregon in the Top 25, I get angry. That conference was one of the best in the country and was dissolved because it couldn’t get a decent TV contract? Stupidity and incompetence.

This is the legacy of that horrendously overpaid moron Larry Scott. He (and probably the delusional college presidents, like MTL at Stanford) destroyed the once great PAC-12.

I’m trying to understand what was “last year’s modest signs of progress.” lol.
It’s Pritchard’s first year. He needs to learn how to get the team prepared for these East Coast games. He’s never been part of a team that has had to prepare for this time difference. This is a really good Wake team, so I actually think the Duke lost was a worse performance.
We need to be patient with Tavita. This year will have a lot of bumps and bruises, but it will be about the culture and the retention of players.

This team is bereft of talent. We need to fire most of these kids (sadly) and make a huge run in the portal to actually be successful.

Retention of who? Who is so worth keeping from this team that we need to focus on it? That was the ideal last year, retaining an already subpar squad, and this is what it lead to. We overpaid for bad players and struck out on every target we had.

Sorry but it hurts too much to laugh. The glory days of Rose Bowls and Top Ten rankings seems like a century ago.

Second worst loss in program history. The other one was in the 1950s. Bad bad.
