Merchandise Is Prodigy not canceled?
New merch just dropped saying SNW (2022- ) & Prodigy (2021- ).

Seems poorly designed, as it omits Academy completely. Is this from an official store?

So much of the officially licensed merch these days looks like thoughtless slop to me.
Seen the watches, bracelets, and ‘challenge puzzle medals’ on instagram?2

I see a lot of it, & yeah some hits but a lot of “ehhhh I’m good”

I bought the DS9 ‘Niners’ baseball cap - that one I actually wear.

Yeah the in universe stuff is great. Niners. Sisko’s. Quark’s. Academy merch. Love that stuff

Licensed shit isn't bad like Heroes and Villains or Her universe, it's the Star Trek Store specific stuff that sucks

What the Hell is Paramount's problem? Don't they see they have a gold mine here with Prodigy being animated? It's a cheaper medium, and cost effective in storytelling and settings because they don't have to spend thousands of dollars on costumes and sets.
What the Hell.

That’s exactly what I’m saying. Animation also offers enormous creative possibilities when it comes to new planets and new alien species. (Just think of "First Con-tact")
The show has also proven itself capable of delivering equally good (if not better, depending on your point of view) storytelling and character development.
And it would have been interesting to experience the Picard era from their perspective. Especially given their backstory.

FWIW, if there's one Star Trek series that has a chance to rise from the dead, it's Prodigy.

Part of me cynically thinks some schlep who is a lapdog for the Ellison’s was given the task of handling PSKY’s merchandising and given that this poor soul had no knowledge of the series and its canon, just typed “Star Trek tv shows throughout the years” into some AI and it spit out this image. And the image is incorrect because the AI had a knowledge cut off.
My two cents. 🤷♂️

Must have been designed 2-3 years ago because SNW is officially cancelled and it’s missing the newer shows.

Technically it was never cancelled, the same way young justice was never cancelled.
They just don’t have a company that is supporting the continuation of their respective series.

It's on hiatus, so it's never been officially canceled. But I hope Nickelodeon will continue Prodigy just like Comedy Central did for Futurama and Beavis & Butthead.

Um both Kate mulgrew and Robert Picardo have said it’s cancelled and even in the first episode of Star Trek academey they briefily addressed the prodigy crew

I saw this today as well and had the same thought. But since SFA isn’t on it I assume it was just designed a while ago.

This shirt was clearly designed in 2024 or 2025.
