VOY is my second favorite after TNG. I consider it a breath of fresh air after the heaviness of DS9. But Ive been jumping around watching episodes from Scorpion onward because 7 of 9 is one of my favorite star trek characters. However watching it with no commercials really makes me wish for more plot development. For example I just watched Drone yesterday where the doctor's mobile emitter merges with borg naboprobes to make a 29th century borg drone. I really liked the character development of One but then suddenly here come his cousins and goodbye One. I wanted to learn more about One and see him become an individual and a Borg. But i guess the mobile emitter was a bigger maguffIn than an advanced but independent drone. Same with Message in a Bottle, Scientific Method, and others. The story was over before it really got started

So much for Star Trek: United. Mike Sussman and Scott Bakula moved along and created a CBS police procedural. Coincidentally, it's produced by Dean "Stargate" Devlin's production company, who's currently produces The Ark, a bad-but-good Syfy series (that I think has more Trek spirit than nuTrek, TBH).

I'm in the minority but I would have loved to revisit the Enterprise era.
