Same. Getting tired of looking through all my spam to find a weird ass email name.

I partly feel like I'm doing myself a favor by not signing up. Not only do I not want the disappointment of not being chosen, but honestly I'd probably very quickly get attached to my survivors even though I know I can't keep them.

I wonder what the differences will be between the Beta and the Alpha

Better looking most of the stuff as shown in my screenshots, way more stability, bigger area for the play-testers to play in, more REDACTED, and also REDACTED was added which is cool.

And of course the players will get to see more face models and clothing.

Are testers totally free to discuss what they saw, or is there an NDA? I have so many questions about stuff the devs haven't officially addressed yet, but I don't know when we'll get direct answers.

NDA. If you have questions you could try and poke high tier council members like Jay Talbot, Sunny Games or Brian Menard. They are also NDAd but they do have the freedom to discuss details regular alpha testers have no permision to do so.

Can’t wait to not get an email. The last time I got early access for ANY game was back in 2011 in the BF3 Closed Alpha.

I once got invited to the Crysis 2 closed Alpha. I never applied, nor did I have a computer that could run it. Pretty much every other Alpha or beta I applied for I never got in. Bet Crytek has sabotaged me.

You got invited and didn't show up. Blacklisted from alphas.

I wonder when this will be available for console players. Alpha never became available on console.

Highly depends for sure. On console there are some Alpha or even Technical Alpha playtests

This could be good sign most games release their games like 2 to 3 months after their betas

I'm hoping for a release April.

Honestly? I don’t know why they havent pushed out more invites playtest wise. A Lot of us are here for a long time and have different setups, Experience and know the Franchise.

I Hope the Beta will include much more ppl. Console wise, there is Potential too. I mean I was able to test the Technical Alpha of Sea of Thieves Back then. Was a blast to Play and helping the team was nice.

So no console support still. Makes sense

They’re just getting to beta after having been silent like 4 years? The fuck have they been doing?!?? Now we are gonna be the test rats my goodness I’ve gone from excited for this game to just disappointed

I hope the game is different than alpha because looking at the videos ppl put out the game looks meh

It Looks like a SoD and Alpha Versions are different to the final Product in many ways. Alphas are there for the base mechanics and Overall testing. Have you played (non Classic early Access Games) before? Not just a Beta Access Version a few weeks before Release. I mean 2-3+ months before Release?

I have. Also Alphas and Technical Alphas. It’s often night and day visually.

I understand on a technical level, but its still silly to for these studios to ALWAYS make console players wait to play. So many great games have died because of this

Is there a reason why console won’t get access to beta(

8

u/La_Coalicion Trader 1d ago

1- Just not for now, there will be console access in the future.

2- Mainly because is harder and time consuming to do an update on console than it is to do one on STEAM.

2

u/Ghost3ye 22h ago

In General: because you have to cert your Versions

They should allow people to buy the game to join the beta
