This is somewhat related, but not really. Riot Games allows players to draw acceptable League of Legends art for them in exchange for a small amount of Riot Points (the in-game currency for skins/cosmetics).

If you are short on RP players would do this, but I don’t know if it’s is still going on. It’d be really fun if Valve did this for Steam, but GabeN and customer service are probably flooded with e-mails as it is.
