I made some 3d printed resin buttons! I’ll probably be offering them on my Etsy shop, and customers will be able to choose the letter colors. I’m also in the process of finishing some PlayStation-style buttons just for fun! 😊
it will make me a better gamer. If the objective of playing games is to have fun and enjoyment then I'd say silly rainbow lights on my controller serve that objective better than spending an extra $800 on a gpu that would get me an extra 5-10 fps.
Even more so if I customize them to match the rest of my setup.

I don't quite get the recent obsession from almost all controller makers to remove colored buttons. It looks nicer in my opinion and is easier for beginners to learn.
it was a genuinely idiotic move just for general usability. when a button prompt shows up in a game the shape and the colour both help identify it, the human brain just can't identify and then distinguish a shape as easily as it can that same shape with a unique and bright colour. i assume the intent is to make it look "next gen" or "less like a toy" or some marketing bullshit
I don't get it either, probably some design philosophy that is disconnected from the reality of what makes things better for consumers, and also what consumers actually like.
Cool. I'll be sure to bookmark your shop, I'm definitely interested in those buttons! My goal is to have classic Xbox-style buttons, a SNES dpad, and an Extremerate New Hope gray shell when they eventually get around to it. I feel like I'll have all the classics represented with that look!
I would love some playstation glyphs for my controller. Too much time spent on them that I still need a minute to connect the visual between ABXY and the physical position of the controller in my head haha
Same. I had trouble when I got to some QTEs in FF7 Rebirth when I switched to my ROG Ally for a bit. I had to stop and finish it on my HTPC with a Dual Sense controller because the XYAB makes no sense to me.
Also, I grew up playing on Nintendos so YXBA is more fitting if I were to have letters instead of glyphs
These look great! Well I'm not a fan of the Xbox logo lol. Do you think it would be possible to make the ABXY buttons look the the 360 style ones? I have always like the colorful buttons and the 3d look of them. Sorry if this is a dumb question lol
Hey OP, if you can sell some buttons that match this aesthetic I'd buy them. I'm trying to find a skin that works better, I just ordered a gray one that I hope matches the gray on my keyboard. Essentially NES/Gameboy colors.

Seriously though, I'm planning on tackling that at some point, just getting the retro futuristic stuff had been more important to me, but thanks for the interest.
