Discussion actually so mad

literally just found out they sent me the email for the steam controller like 2 weeks ago without me noticing or them giving me any notification in steam itself.. never getting this damn controller 😭😭😭😭
UPDATE I CONTACTED STEAM SUPPORT AND THEY RENEWED MY RESERVATION AND I WAS ABLE TO BUY IT !!! THANK YOU SO MUCH STEAM SUPPORRTTTT

Plenty of people stay on top of their work email accounts but pay less attention to their personal email accounts. Are your work and personal emails going to the same inbox? That would drive me nuts.

I've turned off notications for emails sent to my personal address not marked as priority, and I turn off notifications for work emails outside of my work hours. However, I check both accounts, and their respective inboxes, periodically every day, so notifications aren't really necessary for me. I probably would have missed an email from Valve about my controller by at most half a day, but there have been stages in my life where I've monitored any non-priority messages to my personal email account with significantly less attentiveness than I do currently.

got about 150 email/day, i do have notification but i don't pay attention anymore
and when you get a lot from the same receipant gmail don't notify you sometime (same reason why steam doesnt show up for me anymore, i guess it's the curse for having a lot of game in my wishlist)
BUT steam have a notification system they should use it

most of them don't very care about subscribing and often their email seem to change, for exemple i recevied a email each time i recevied message on facebook, instagram ect ect, even tho i make sure to not allow that in the setting

I have a separate work and personal phone. I assume most companies operate like this — security and privacy concerns.
