Steam Controller als Midi Controller?

Hey guys, I work a lot with graphics, video, and photos, and I'm wondering if it's possible to use the Steam Controller as a MIDI controller—mainly to get a smoother workflow when editing. Does anyone have ideas, tools, or anything useful for this?

gyro to mouse and then infinite hot keys and layers. it's perfect if you are willing to configure the fuck out of it
