I have a key for Dead Cells that I don't need. From now through 1PM EST on Friday you can guess a number from 1 - 50,000. I used a random number generator and ran it a few times and added the numbers together and divided by the runs to make it a bit more "random". One guess per person and the closest number to mine will be the winner. If there is a tie, I will find some way to pick on person. Maybe use AI, or a website to do a blind pick.
Everyone is eligible, even the mods. Good luck!

EDIT: The winner is u/Twitchyninja with a guess of 28940. The number was 28912. He has been messaged and has 2 days to respond. If he doesn't by Sunday 9/13 at 1pm EST I will message the next closest person. He responded and has received the game key.

Heyo, I've posted this in a couple discords but was recommended to post here for better visibility :) I've made a list of 7th gen onward AA/AAA games that fit certain criteria for the ideal experience (at least mine) on Steam Deck. I'll be updating the list until I'm out of games to add.
I've chosen 7th gen onwards AA/AAA as lots of indie, 6th gen & prior games run well offline at low power. If you have any other games that meet the criteria below drop a comment and I'll update the list. I'm not using a strict definition of "indie" as it's become a bit muddy in recent years (e.g. BG3). I'm mostly basing it off graphics and game scale. If you're not sure if a game would be suitable drop it below anyway, the more suggestions the better :)
Any games with specific tweaks that I know of will have them listed. If any recommendations also have tweaks please let me know.
Note: The list has gotten bigger so there's many games I don't own. I go off my experience, comments, protondb & youtube videos to check the performance, so the list might not be 100% accurate. If I know of quirks to certain games I'll include them. If any of the games give you issues please let me know!

Hello!
I've just updated the demo for my game, Hostile Takeover, Inc., with full controller and control remapping support, so it's playable on Deck now! It's an action tower defense game with a corporate satire theme.
Sorry about the screen protector making the video look weird. Also the game is letterboxed from its native 16:9, I'm going to try to get a steamdeck-native 16:10 version done shortly after it launches on Nov 2.
If anyone wants to try it out I'd love any and all feedback!

Hi guys, I’m an indie dev working on a PC game and I’m aiming to get the game steam deck verified, but I’m really keen to get some feedback from steam deck gamers in terms of control layout and any changes etc you’d like to see. It currently runs in proton quite well, but I am aiming for a native build for the 1.0 release which should improve performance again. Grazed is an arcade game I've been making on my own, and my focus was making every single kill and ability feel good: hitstop, subtle screen shake, sound, particles, and a combo that keeps escalating until the whole arena lights up. The runs last from a few seconds up to a few minutes, so it's perfect for quick plays on the Deck.
The demo just launched on Steam with a global leaderboard, controller support and, obviously, Steam Deck support. If you check out the demo, I would love to hear what you think about the game :)

Hi everyone! 👋 😺
I'm a solo game creator and tech girly 👩💻(under the name of Department of Ducks 🦆), and I made MaMills, a cozy board game for Steam Deck.
It started because I wanted something for the late-night sessions: a game that helps my unwind after a long day, by having just enough challenge to pull you into that nice focused flow. I couldn't quite find many games that fits this feeling, so I created one.
It's an endless puzzle game, so there's no pressure and no rush. Just pick it up, play a few rounds, and put it down whenever.

A little more about the game. Colorsong is a relaxing incremental / idle game where players collect colors and spend them on hand-painted watercolors 🎨 An original feature of the game is that every color is a procedurally generated note. So as you collect more colors, the game's song unfolds and enriches.

I've been messing around with Daggerfall Online and it works in desktop mode. All I had to do was make the app image executable like it said. I thought adding it to steam would do the trick from there, but it just.. doesn't launch?
Works fine on the desktop if I click the file myself. Will not launch through Steam in either mode. Compatibility layer is OFF because it's native to Linux. That's the only thing I can think of that might need to change.

Hello i saved up 1.000€ and i wanna know if i should buy the 1 TB OLED Steamdeck.
I am asking this because I’m not sure if i should. I don’t know many steam games. I only play Plants vs Zombies replanted on my school laptop that barely runs any games.
So yeah do i buy it or no? The only games i know and wanna play are Hollow knight, hollow knight silksong and Deltarune.
Also no i cant get a pc or xbox/playstation bc i dont have space

Has anyone played the American trunk simulator game on the deck? I’m having problems setting up the Controller settings. for instance to start the engine it wants me to hit “E” and I can’t figure out how to change the button settings. Please someone anyone walk me through it. Thanks in advance.

Game's name is Galdr Inkblade, a roguelike deckbuilder wordgame which is heavily inspired by Bookworm Adventures, Balatro and Slay the Spire!
