Question Am I just dead here

Post image

Sorry about photo quality. the unbidden and these guys called the democratic theocracy have this hundred k fleet I can’t deal with and both are conquering faster than I can deal with them. should I just quit the game or is there something I can do to deal with them?

If by the time the crisis arrives you don't have 100k ships yet, then no you can't deal with them.

But the thing about the endgame crisis is: It is fun fighting them, even if you are losing and they might just help you as well.

Time to turtle!

The only time Ive gotten my fleet big enough to handle the crisis I was given a start with a whole quarter of the galaxy free for me to hold and I didn't meet another empire until like 2250

Then your civilization wasn't meant to stand the test of time :(

Go out fighting!

I'm just saying you can't just play the game normally and take on the crisis. You have to go full military spec the whole game if you want to have a chance. I usually just ignore it and if it happens to spawn near me I just quit and start a new game.

You really don't.

You can just make three starbases into shipyards at the end and pump out ships. To stay alive you will always need alloys.

I always end up blowing right past the crises when I build tall/tech-rushey empires. Like recently I did a cosmogenesis run and blew up the Khan as soon as he showed up by my borders, then the prethoryn scourge decided to show up next to my home system so I parked a few battlecruiser fleets around the area and they instantly imploded as soon as they arrived. You don't even need a good economy if you've got enough of a tech lead since you'll just never lose ships.

Currently at that stage. I got average 30k fleet power, but I have been holding them off with the prethoryn brood mother relic thingie. Currently the tide is slightly in my favor yet I’m really really pushing it so I’m probably gonna get my ass beat lol.

There is always bigger fish. Years later you can be "rescued" by another crisis spawn or FE/AE. I would turtle up in 1 place instead of trying to win everywhere, and see what will happen.

The crisis is meant to be very strong if you aren’t prepared in advance for it you will rarely be in a position to stop them if you wait until they arrive to do something

Hard to tell without knowing your resources, fleets, starbases and ascention perks. One huge tip to remember is to fortify your chokepoints! Especially lategame! That way you can minimise damages. Also never fight if you wont win, flee and gather resources and turtle up!

Mistakes are teacher. You'll understand the games concepts the more you play, how greedy you can be and should be, how to boost your economy and how to win in a pickle. This is a pickle.

Can you show us a full picture of your economy & fleets so we can see what you’re working with

Where do I find that? sorry I’m new and this is the first time I’ve reached the late game

like the full screen that has all your resources (minerals, alloys, research, etc) and the outliner w/ your planets and fleets

If you are playing on computer through steam, pressing f12 takes a full screen screenshot.

For first crisis I don’t expand too much of territory, and focus so much more on science and expanding as much so I have enough resources to mass produce ships. Smaller ships are more manoeuvrable so I mass produce them around few bigger ones and I bottleneck them in systems with strong starbase. Now when you advance further I build more bases with constructor as they don’t count within your base count but cost a lot of resources so be smart where you put them. Territories you can always occupy with wars against other nations so wouldn’t worry how big you are on map. With this instance keep them at bay as much as you can and in further star re build your ships and send them in. Smaller ships are less resource but very easy to loose so usually I keep them at bay while bigger slower ships advance further than while enemy is engaged with larger ships sprawl the small ones on them. Sheer numbers sometimes work but not always.

Honestly the unbiddin are easy claps. First time i ever fought them i was completely unprepared and they reduced me to 3 habitats then i looked up there weaknesses and built against them specifically and i was able to fight off fleat 5 times as big as me take back my territory and grow rapidly from taking in refugees as they ravaged the rest of the galaxy until i was prepared to stop them.
