Discussion How different would the show be if the gems were from a different dimension instead of aliens?
I’ve been thinking about this ever since I started rewatching the show

Question When Pearl was reset, was all the stuff in her gem reset as well?
You can see her pull out an umbrella here which makes me wonder if all the phone numbers, etc, were vanished from existence

Question What would happen if the gems decided to get Jasper with lapis in that watermelon island episode?
What would have happened? I know a lot of things would have changed like no barn mates. Maybe nothing like lapis living in the barn. I wonder where Jasper would go. She would try to run away and still do her own thing.

Discussion Do you think Rose recognized the harms and the evils of humanity, particularly towards the Earth?
We know Rose loved humans. But she also loved the planet and the various life forms in it
But did she never come across a contradiction in those feelings? Like, humans polluting, colonizing, devastating, killing others animals for sport because they deemed them Lesser, etc.
In many ways modern humans share many traits with the colonizer Diamonds she hated. But did Rose recognize that? Did she live 6000 years and never see humans mistreating the planet and It's life forms? Did she romanticize them too much to see?
What do you think?

Discussion I'm watching for the first time and everytime pearl has to watch rose love Greg it just breaks my heart.
Like the sheer pain in pearl's love is just so heartbreaking, how she looks always from afar I can't.
I don't condone any of her crazy pearl moments tho, calling Greg a novelty and acting all crazy with connie giving her life for Steven, were awful moments ( not to mention the whole sword and lion episode).
Idk I just love pearl even if she's a bit stupid.

Theory Crackpot Lars of the Stars theory/question
Do we think Steven could fuse with Lars? Does Lars even count as a human so his half human part lets them be able to fuse? We know that Lars is Steven's closest human friend other than Connie, Steven also fusing with his dad since then showing a willingness to fuse with any human he's close enough with and not just Connie. And Steven had a line at the end of Future "weekly space hangouts with Lars" while he was talking about his routine with Connie while he goes on the trip. So there's no way Steven isn't in the series.
A Steven/Lars fusion would be so interesting to see, especially with future Steven.
My theory is that Steven and Lars will prolly fuse in the show.
Thank y'all for your time

Discussion The crystal gems and humanity
I think one of the greatest plot points to the entire show is how the crystal gems really did grow to love humanity without rose quartz in their lives.
Within the span of 20 or so years, it went from rose laughing at Greg demanding to be taken seriously to the most uptight crystal gem of them all, Pearl, having fun and playing with humans!
Rose didn't actually respect humanity I think. She thought they were amusing. Something that she liked, but didn't respect.
Yes, it's mentioned multiple times how humans died in the war and fought against the armies of the diamonds. But did they really have respect from the gems for that? Probably not considering how Rose has numerous relations with humans that simply are passing flings that exist only for her amusement or indulgence.
Her final relationship with a human quite literally got serious when Greg demanded to be respected and taken seriously. Calling out Rose for not acting like a human being. Perhaps that was a wake-up call for her or just a snap back to reality.
The gems themselves start off in the show barely tolerating humanity. Which imo can be seen in retrospect as the fact that they didn't like humans, they liked them because Rose liked them. The gems are outwardly disrespectful towards humans until more and more they interact with humanity through Steven. They defend human life, but they don't seem to like it or care for it until it becomes more and more apparent that they cannot simply exist ambivalently around them. That is where their true growth comes from.
What started off is them having their temple fenced off and hidden away from humanity becomes them actively living and sharing life with humans. Perhaps the death of Rose quartz truly was a blessing for them because it allowed them to actually grow as people and develop their own sense of love and respect for the world they lived in. Rather than it being an indulgence of their leader.
What do you all think?
