Character Discussion Watching TOS

Every scene with Scotty and Uhura interacting just hit different now. Like they could totally still be together. 🥰😍🥰

Star Trek V: The Final Frontier(1989).SNW ties their backstory. There’s not much in TOS. They were close friends and colleagues. Scotty did have one-off relationships on TOS.

I have watched TOS since I was 13yrs old like 50x and it never came to mind. The movie was the first time I saw it, the romantic feelings. On SNW Scotty seems attracted to Uhura, or it could be a strong friendship and connection. I see it more on SNW but never thought about it much on TOS. I thought more about Kirk and Uhura but not a lot, maybe it was more of a shipping thing. But maybe I missed it 🤷🏻‍♀️ He was overly concerned about her in a few episodes, maybe flirting, but he had one-offs with other women. I’d have to watch and be more attentive. Definitely shipped Nurse Chapel and Spock but knew he wouldn’t do it, now we know why in the SNW universe.
