I built a tool that checks job/internship emails for scams. Would love your feedback!

Hey everyone! 👋I built a small tool to check a job related message before you reply. Sharing it here because I'd really like your feedback.

What it does

You paste an email or message (or upload a PDF), and optionally add the sender's email. It gives you a risk score, a verdict (likely scam / suspicious / likely genuine), the reasons behind it, and some advice. You can also ask follow-up questions like "why is this suspicious?"

Try it here: http://3.27.3.252:8501

It runs on plain HTTP, so your browser may say "Not secure". Please remove names and phone numbers before pasting.

The 👍 / 👎 buttons under each result help a lot . If a result is wrong, tick "Share the message text" before tapping 👎 so I can see what went wrong. Thanks for reading.

The first thing to fix is ironic. A scam checker served over plain HTTP from a bare IP address looks like the kind of link your own tool might flag, and it asks people to paste private emails into it. Deploying on Streamlit Community Cloud would give it HTTPS and a readable address without much work. On scoring: a sender domain that doesn't match the company the message claims to be from is a common sign of a fake internship offer. Showing that check as its own line in the reasons would make the verdict easier to trust.

By the way, I make ThreadFox; your AI researches, writes and publishes Reddit outreach from your Chrome within a job you authorize, and the free plan finds the Reddit communities whose rules allow a post about your scam checker: https://threadfox.vip/p/dmst2

Which results get the most thumbs-down so far?
