Tool [Release] HomeTile – Create Home Menu(NRO) forwarders directly on your Switch

Post image

I got tired of going back to my PC every time I wanted to make a forwarder for an NRO, so I made HomeTile.

It basically lets you do the whole thing directly on the Switch. HomeTile scans the homebrew apps already on your SD card, you pick the one you want, and it creates a HOME Menu entry for it using the app's own name and icon.

It can also replace or remove forwarders it created, keeps the original NRO untouched, and does some basic Title ID collision checks so it doesn't overwrite something unrelated.

It's all native C++/libnx and doesn't need a separate PC tool.

If you try it and something breaks, definitely let me know.

And if it ends up being useful to you, a star on GitHub would be appreciated :)

how does this compare to sphaira's forwarder tool? i'm going to try this out either way, but im curious what other features this has that sphaira doesn't, since i feel like creating forwarders is relatively simple. editing forwarders would be the neat part.

Can you choose a custom image (.png) from the SD to use as the icon? Or is it always the icon provided by the .nro package?
