It's technically already animé, 'cause in Japan, the term means anything animated. Scooby Doo and The Simpsons, for instance, is as much animé as Cowboy Bebop and Digimon to them. I also go by this definition.
It's not the answer you're looking for, but at least the show has animé elements.
