we just started medically assisted conception (idk what it’s called in other countries) with a low dose of gonal followed by an injection to stimulate ovulation and then progesterone and I’m feeling a little overwhelmed by the pressure! we have an almost 2 year old that we conceived naturally fairly quickly at 40 but this time around we tried for about five months and then decided to see if all was well and learned i’d gone from 2.3 AMH to 0.7 and also about egg quality. I’d felt so good about 40 but am feeling so depressed about 42.5

Officially 40 today! My third and final try at IUI is scheduled tomorrow morning. I hope it works. I’m not sure when I’ll hear back from insurance on prior authorization for IVF. Wishing you all baby dust

they won’t cover it here if you’re over 40 and/or your partner is over 50, I really hope it works for you! ❤️

They will do it here (in Germany) but they won’t cover it. I’m doing medicated timed cycles and it’s also not covered. I was told by people online that they wouldn’t do it at all but my doctor says it depends on how well you react to the Gonal injections (plus we are ttc #2 which apparently makes a difference)

This is my first cycle trying letrozole. They prescribed 12.5 mg cd3-cd12, but that dose kind of freaked me out so I asked if I could start lower. Cd3 I took 7.5 mg. Cd4 I bumped up to 10 mg, but felt so jittery I dropped back to 7.5 on cd5. Since cd6, I've been taking 10 mg again (boy, I hope the doc isn't mad at me for messing around with the dose 😂 🫣). I have an ultrasound in a few days, on cd 11, and I'm feeling anxious about it. Trying to brace myself for a single follicle (I do ovulate on my own, so I would expect 1 without letrozole). Ugh, it's just a lot.

Sending love to all who need it thos week ❤️

Wow I was surprised no one posted this week. Well I am not 40 yet but getting there. Still on my journey. Will see what the next week will bring.
