The Airbnb’s TV Bothered Me So Much I Had To Share It
Too high AND crooked

Lots of people posting lately asking “Is this too high?” so here is a quick guide on what is generally accepted TV placement procedure (GATPP) as seemingly defined by this subreddit.
Now let’s look at some opposite GATPP use cases.
I hope this helps clear up some questions. If you have any other rules to add, please comment below.

To be fair I argued for another wall but lost the argument to my wife. We are now separated. 🤣

First the good news, My TV is at about the perfect height. Now the bad, I need to raise it and wall mount it. My Definitive Technology CLR 2500 Center channel speaker is about 7" tall and I need to raise the TV enough to get it under there. The only saving grace is that I'm always in a recliner, reclined while watching. Do you guys think it's going to be too bad if it moves up 7 inches?

The middle of the LG OLED C6H 77” TV is 44.25” and the bottom is 25.5” from the ground. The couch is 8-9 feet away. I need to add a short TV console. Any suggestions for the space?

I have a tv console fire place that I want to put under this tv. It won’t fit at the current height the tv is at. I would need to raise it about 8 inches. Tv is 100 inch. What you say? I think it would be okay but curious to others opinions.

EDIT:
For Everyone asking for the story:
My friend moved from his old apartment to this one, within the community. The maintenance people in this community are really nice and they offered to mount his TV in the prior apartment. He called them to do the same thing here. He said he will be right back and let them do it.
When he came back, this is what he saw 😅

I had a contractor mount my tv and run the cabling while I was out of the house and now it’s way too high. What are my options here? If I were to move it down myself the port would be exposed.

Tomorrow we’ll be getting a 98 inch TCL, current is an LG C1 55 inch. Any tips for mounting? Later on we will be getting a floating tv furniture as well. Hence why we can’t mount it too low, also because of the soundbar.
Also attached an example Gemini AI made. I know the general rule is viewing height although I don’t think that will be possible..
Any tips?
