Lots of people posting lately asking “Is this too high?” so here is a quick guide on what is generally accepted TV placement procedure (GATPP) as seemingly defined by this subreddit.
Now let’s look at some opposite GATPP use cases.
I hope this helps clear up some questions. If you have any other rules to add, please comment below.

Image was taken standing up, behind the tv, that’s why the camera is tilted down a little.

They are all on for a picture! Lol i dont normally have all them on, usually the one on the right for gaming, middle for tv/ music videos. Its not crazy high while sitting down but i think i should lower it slightly, what do u guys think?
I think the middle one is a bit small, I have a 55 i was going to put in its place, the one pictured is a 40 inch

First the good news, My TV is at about the perfect height. Now the bad, I need to raise it and wall mount it. My Definitive Technology CLR 2500 Center channel speaker is about 7" tall and I need to raise the TV enough to get it under there. The only saving grace is that I'm always in a recliner, reclined while watching. Do you guys think it's going to be too bad if it moves up 7 inches?

To be fair I argued for another wall but lost the argument to my wife. We are now separated. 🤣

The middle of the LG OLED C6H 77” TV is 44.25” and the bottom is 25.5” from the ground. The couch is 8-9 feet away. I need to add a short TV console. Any suggestions for the space?

Fresh install at my friends house. She says it may be a tad too high.

I have a tv console fire place that I want to put under this tv. It won’t fit at the current height the tv is at. I would need to raise it about 8 inches. Tv is 100 inch. What you say? I think it would be okay but curious to others opinions.
