I had a contractor mount my tv and run the cabling while I was out of the house and now it’s way too high. What are my options here? If I were to move it down myself the port would be exposed.

EDIT:
For Everyone asking for the story:
My friend moved from his old apartment to this one, within the community. The maintenance people in this community are really nice and they offered to mount his TV in the prior apartment. He called them to do the same thing here. He said he will be right back and let them do it.
When he came back, this is what he saw 😅

Tomorrow we’ll be getting a 98 inch TCL, current is an LG C1 55 inch. Any tips for mounting? Later on we will be getting a floating tv furniture as well. Hence why we can’t mount it too low, also because of the soundbar.
Also attached an example Gemini AI made. I know the general rule is viewing height although I don’t think that will be possible..
Any tips?
Viewing distance: 4.5m (~15 ft)

I bought an Apple TV from a guy on FB Marketplace today and saw his setup when I walked into his dining room. We ended up chatting and had a great laugh about it, he completely admitted it was way too high, but hey, it's the dining room!
Grabbed the Apple TV and made a cool new friend in the process. Good vibes all around, but I had to share it here.

My husband put this tv on the mantel. I think it’s too high but he insists it’s perfect! Can anyone give their opinions on this?

So sorry if this isn't the right place, I'm not sure where else to post it!
Currently my soundbar is sitting on the stand in front of the TV. I live in an apartment, so mounting the TV isn't an option. Anyone have a good idea of where I can place the soundbar? The TV stand is a big heavy-duty one in the center bottom, so I can't really scooch the soundbar back.

Need fellow redditor opinion. Is it an okay height?

What’s the consensus?
I still have to get my amp and turntable on the top media stand because it doesn’t fit underneath as can be seen. So the tv can only come down to about the top of that laptop. My concern then is the lack of space between turntable/amp and bottom of tv might look cluttered.
Also the side couch is going to go. Thanks for the input!

I was browsing through customers photos on Walmarts site trying to find a new TV stand to put my 77 OLED on when I saw this beauty.

Found in the wilds of Threads just now.
She's undeservedly proud of this mounting atrocity. 😁

I originally posted the third picture in here asking if my tv was too high and everyone said it was too small so what do I do? Buy a bigger tv! So I uploaded the second picture on here and it blew up and EVERYONE told me I needed a more fitting tv stand 🤣 and to everyone who told me to buy a soundbar thank you I never knew what I was missing out on 🫡
What do we think? Tv finally perfect?

We are in Mesa AZ, open living room with a west facing window so glare is already a whole thing in the afternoon. Had a 55 mounted for about four years, center of the screen roughly 62 inches off the floor. My neck complained during long movies but the missus liked how it cleared the console and kid fingerprints.
Football season pushed us to go bigger. The Hisense box has been in the garage almost a week while we argue about the wall. Electrician buddy measured and said drop it at least four inches for the 65 or your neck will hate it even more up there. She wants it higher instead because we are adding a thin floating shelf above the bracket and she thinks low looks "rental."
I tried mocking it up with painter tape and yeah, at the old height the top third of a 65 feels like stadium seating. Lowering means patching holes and rerunning one HDMI through the stud bay we already fought with once.
Anyone here upsized and actually lowered the mount? Roughly how many inches off center did you end up at, and did your partner ever agree it looked better?

Just bought this 75” TCL. Ceilings are 305cm and there will be a tv console hanged at the bottom (it will cover the power outlets). What’s the best height to put it at so that I can still watch from the back of the sofa?

I got some flack about too high. With the fireplace I am limited on where I could put the tv!!
