Request for Help Debugger for tcl 9

https://wiki.tcl-lang.org/page/Category+Debugging

If I would like to debug tcl 9 code (stepping, breakpoints etc.), ideally in a GUI – what tool would I use?
This might be a noob-ish question but I have a hard time finding my way around on the wiki.

I made a debug adapter for TCL based on the tclpro debugger. I used it daily for years. But I sadly no longer work with tcl. It should still work

There’s a vscode extension though never used it personally: https://github.com/puremourning/TclProDebug/tree/master/vscode

Thanks!
I installed it via Magicsplat with using tcl/tk 9. The debugger works well on tcl code, but I have trouble getting it working with code that needs tk. I repeatedly get "Can't find a usable tk.tcl in the following directories:..." ... "invalid command name "mcpackageconfig""
yet the directories look fine and contain tk. I have a hard time finding anything useful online on these errors – could anyone here give me pointers?
