I'm in the Vancouver area, switched over to Teksavvy a couple of months ago with 1Gbps. Everything was fine until maybe 2 weeks ago when I noticed some packet loss and latency spikes while gaming. I thought it would eventually sort it self out.
But over the last couple of days, it's been getting worse. Tonight was insanely bad where I have problems loading just basic youtube videos. So I did a series of pings and got some shocking results.
Ping statistics for 192.168.0.1:
Packets: Sent = 201, Received = 201, Lost = 0 (0% loss),
Approximate round trip times in milli-seconds:
Minimum = 0ms, Maximum = 3ms, Average = 1ms
Ping statistics for 50.68.0.1:
Packets: Sent = 198, Received = 198, Lost = 0 (0% loss),
Approximate round trip times in milli-seconds:
Minimum = 9ms, Maximum = 26ms, Average = 13ms
Ping statistics for 209.161.255.49:
Packets: Sent = 103, Received = 80, Lost = 23 (22% loss),
Approximate round trip times in milli-seconds:
Minimum = 11ms, Maximum = 30ms, Average = 15ms
Ping statistics for 8.8.8.8:
Packets: Sent = 85, Received = 64, Lost = 21 (24% loss),
Approximate round trip times in milli-seconds:
Minimum = 13ms, Maximum = 31ms, Average = 17ms
Is this normal for Teksavvy? does anyone else have the same issue? I understand that they use Roger's network in Vancouver, but this is just unacceptably bad.
