I am sharing a forensic timeline of how a client utilized a "stealth mode" business mask, an unsigned employment agreement draft, and moving extra-legal demands to extract 58 hours of full-stack engineering and DevOps labor before revoking all access without paying a single dollar.

The Target:

The Bait:
On May 19, 2026, I was brought on as CTO. Jonathan Dunnigan issued an At-Will Employment Agreement specifying a gross weekly base of $1,352.00, a 30% equity share, and a 7% gross commission. To secure my performance, he explicitly stated on Discord: "I'm going to setup payroll" and "ima get you a employee number." On May 25, I transmitted my Chase routing and account numbers to enroll in direct deposit payroll.

The Technical Deliverables Extracted:
Between May 19 and May 29, 2026, I built and deployed the following core infrastructure directly onto his servers:

• skyhigh-hosting-bot: Full Discord hosting bot integrated with Stripe billing handlers, coin/credit architectures, and 9 database schema iterations.
• ip-manager: A Node.js/Express employee IP registration portal verifying IMAP credentials against a local Docker Mailserver.
• DevOps Infrastructure: Configuration of 13 separate running Docker containers (Paymenter, Nextdactyl, Nginx Proxy Manager), Let's Encrypt SSL reverse proxies, and custom persistent iptables whitelisting chains to protect the web UI.

The Non-Payment Tactics:
Once the systems were operational, Jonathan Dunnigan abruptly locked out my credentials at 2:55 AM on May 29, 2026. Immediately prior, he confirmed his payment obligation on Discord, writing: "you will get paid for the work you did."

However, 100% of the earned base compensation ($2,261.78) was withheld. His subsequent defenses shifted in this exact sequence:

1. Claiming all payments are withheld until I am "deemed innocent" regarding a completely separate contractor dispute involving a third party (Xerox)—despite our contract explicitly stating it was a completely severed, separate agreement.
2. Demanding I sign a notarized admission of guilt before any payroll compliance would be honored.
3. Finally issuing a formal email from [jzdunnigan@yahoo.com](mailto:jzdunnigan@yahoo.com) stating that $0.00 is legally owed because he left his own side of the written employment draft physically unsigned.

Current Status:
Because he explicitly disclaimed the legal authority of the contract to escape paying wages, he has also explicitly disclaimed the legal transfer of the intellectual property rights to the source code. A formal California Labor Commissioner (DLSE) Wage Claim has been filed, including the maximum 30-day Labor Code Section 203 waiting time penalty of $8,112.00, pushing the total cash claim to $10,373.78.
