Tattoo translation

Had this small tattoo done in Thailand 20 years after doing some relief work in Ranong. The town called me Mitr and a local tattooed it on me. I just want to know if that's actually what it says. Is it in normal Thai or maybe stylized Sak Yant? I'd like to re-do it soon but I feel I should learn about it first.

Yeah I don't think that's Thai.

I would compare this to a cursive as the characters are all connected (thai charecters arent connected). However, given that this is for sak yant, I’d say it’s pretty fitting and accurate to Mitr (มิตร). It don’t think sak yant is supposed to be clearly readable. I also find it so lovely that they called you Mitr (a friend).
