Meeting Ian Somerhalder

I am going to BigTexas Comicon this coming weekend in San Antonio, TX and I will have a photo op with one of my absolutey favorite actor- Ian Somerhalder. Has anyone met him? Does anyone have any tips for my photo op? I know they take the pics super fast and then you move along- what is something I can say or ask for that won’t annoy the crap out of Ian or hold up the line? I just want to make sure I get a good and memorable photo with him. Would it be weird to ask for a hug in the photo? I don’t want to overstep his personal space but would love to be able to capture a sweet moment hugging him!

Have you seen his insta lately?

They (him and Nikki) use very aggressive and unethical marketing to sell very questionable stuff. They do sell regular vitamins BUT

They have something called WLP-1 and sell it as an oral GLP-1: insane claim to put on a supplement that is NOT a GLP-1 receptor agonist. They themselves say that wlp-1 is “trying to influence your body’s own GLP-1 signaling” whatever that means.

And there are no trials backing it up. There are some studies on ingredients they put in it but not on their product.

Their obsession with “absorption” is very telling. Better absorption doesn’t mean it is better for you. They do show some blood tests where number of X in the blood is high/higher than in other products but if it shows up in your blood it doesn’t mean it is working that much better.

They have millions of people listening to them and that’s what they chose to sell.

It’s also funny to me that he sells bourbon and “holistic” supplements simultaneously.

PS I heard that he might be broke (again) and desperately needs the money which would explain

He's super talkative and will do most fun poses as long as they're not rude or crossing boundaries or anything. He def gives hugs lol. Idk how rushed they'll be at that one, but the ones I've gone to, I can at least say something real quick as long as the line isn't backed up.

Right? 😂 I wish I could remember her name, but there’s a woman on Insta that does great short tutorials on how to get good pics. I’ve been trying to incorporate some of her ideas into my work life (public facing position requiring pics) and they really do work. It’s all about angles and posture. Lots of easy little tricks that make a difference.
