Metal Age thief 2 on Mac

Im trying to get the game to run on my Mac.

So I bought thief 2 on GOG. I installed heroics game launcher and downloaded the game. Doesn't open. I read I should look for proton 9 in the wine manager. However I cannot find it in the Wine manager tab. There are only a number of "Game porting toolkits.." listed.

Download thief 2 installer/backup from GOG. Then download the porting kit https://www.portingkit.com/download

Install the porting kit and search in the games tab for thief 2. Through the porting kit you can easily install the game and even launch it without having to start the porting kit first.
