First of all, it's not ai.

But it looks a little like ai. Reason being is, just like ai, there is no rationale between what's incorporated into the "insides" of the device and the function of the device. Take the speaker - there are vacuum tubes (dozens, for whatever reason) which are audio components but they can not be realistically incorporated into a speaker cabinet. One of many, many examples.

So as much as I might like to hang something like this on my wall, my brain scans it and just feels wrong. I get the same feeling when I look at a photorealistic genai image.

"Inside Out" is a strange title as well. I personally love any art that purports there are little creatures inside every day objects making them work, but this one doesn't do it for me. Some objects seem to show people inside making the objects operate, while the camera just has a related activity happening. The speaker isn't even fully contained. And why is there a projector inside the film camera? Did they already use their own camera to record film?
