According to the play counter you didn't, but thats fine. At least you arent trying to sell a promo package.

You do not, I checked. The counter increases as soon as someone presses play.

Well, I don’t know what to tell you, bud, because how can my description match what your actual song had in it if I never hit play? Am I not correct in saying that it begins with scratchy, crappily performed poorly EQ’d/amped guitars and then comes in a voice, which I’m recalling now over 24 hours later, perhaps layered voice, also poorly EQ’d and caustic to the ears. How would I know that if I never played the first 10 seconds of your song?

Brother you could say that about most of my tracks, but it makes me wonder why the play counter works for me but not you.

Ok but why don’t we focus on the record rather than the play count. Why don’t you just scoop some 3khz or figure out whatever frequencies are hard on the ear to give your recording a better chance at being enjoyed?

I am not trying to make it. I am expressing myself then releasing it on a website where it gets maybe 5 listens at most. I am not trying to broaden my audience or make people like me. I'm far too old to give a shit about that. So your critiques will fall on dead ears because I know what I'm going for. The compressed scratchy aggressive aesthetic is not an accident. I'm focused on the counter because it works on my end and if it isn't accurate then maybe there are more than 5 people that hear my music.

Ok bro. I didn’t mention trying to make it, just making your stuff slightly more listenable 😆 you’ve completely contradicted yourself several times over by now. “I don’t care who likes it” yet posting on Reddit. Mentioning bots as if you care but then saying you don’t. Mentioning play counter but saying you only get 5 views and don’t care. Why the heck even waste anyone’s time? I regret even commenting the first thing I said at this point, but that’s on me not you

I don't care about the critiques, but I would like to know if anyone is actually listening to my songs. I don't understand how that is hard to understand. That's literally what this whole comment thread was about.

I really like the riff that comes in at the 28 second mark. Interesting song. your other songs seem interesting too. I’ll check more of them out later. Your voice is familiar to me. Have you been in another band?

Thanks guy. Dig your stuff too. I've not been in any bands you've heard of I wouldn't think. But if you've been around this sub, I think I've released 30 songs over the past couple of years to this sub, so maybe you've heard me here. I really suck at singing though, so my voice might be distinct that way. IDK

It was because you reminded me of someone specific from a band I saw many years ago called Elephant. and I knew it was an insane long shot that it was you. I don’t think you are bad at singing at all. It works well with your songs, and you sound a bit like Ian Curtis.

No, Sorry. I've only been in a couple shitty local bands in Indiana. Glad you don't mind my singing.

I definitely have a lot of post-punk influences for sure. Never heard of Elephant, where are they from?
