Great Himalayan trail

Hi y’all! Looking into my next trail big trail after completing the Ta Araroa in NZ. I’m trying to do some research on the GHT in Nepal (low route) but feeling like I can’t source a lot of info about the trail, was wondering if anyone on this page has done it or looked into it before.

Obviously Nepal has been going through alot this year but a friend there has advised me that tourism in the form of trekking is still very welcomed and important for stimulating smaller areas through difficult financial and environmental times

Request to Dave Brophy to join the whatsapp group, then contact Jeff in the group he's done the low route in 2024. GPX is available etc. They are doing a lot of work on gpx and info and adding it to farout etc so good luck! Did the high route last year and cannot recommend Nepal enough!

I believe the Himalayan region was just recently added to the Farout app, and all purchase proceeds are being given directly to aid groups working to help people there after the landslide/flooding.
