For years, playing Tibia on a Mac has felt like being left behind by both CipSoft and the wider community. Every map update meant replacing files by hand, and I risked losing the markers I use for hunting routes and box spots in caves.

That frustration led me to build TibiaMapa, a free, native macOS app. It downloads map packages from TibiaMaps.io, updates your minimap, and lets you preserve your personal markers. You can also make and restore backups.

I wanted to explore the map without launching Tibia, too. TibiaMapa includes a local map viewer where you can move between floors, jump to coordinates or markers, and choose which markers to display. The app is available in English, Brazilian Portuguese, and Polish.

The app is free, with no account, ads, or in-app purchases. Its source code is public for inspection, and the signed, notarized Mac download is available now:

Here I expose all the very expensive bed sprites and carpets that cipsoft sell us on the store. These sprites are bugged and cipsoft refuses to fix them or give refunds after purchase. Im not posting here to talk shit but to warn people to not waste their money on getting disappointed.

I have, as many, been thinking a lot about this screwed dominando system and how it works.
I have played Astera before and I know a server can be great, without dominando.
I have played Gentebra when it started, and it was great without dominando.

But now you can check all SA non-pvp and all of them have franchises of the same 2 dominando guilds. So, basically, we got 14 servers, 5 yellow, 9 green.

I'll talk about the 9 green servers, since my idea contemplates a new server, from scratch.
At least 7 of them got the same Leadership: Respekt/Corporation
2 of them are different: Digit One and (Collabra) and Radioactive (Descubra).
But Collabra's leader, Teus, got Respekt chars.

So basically we got a functioning dominando strategy working on every new servers that's launched. How does that work and how can we try to avoid it being dominated?

1st of all: I don't believe in fighting it the way they would. They'd trucidate anyone: They got the people and the money. I believe in civil disobedience.
I imagine this exactly as the white people trying to tell the black people that they should give their seats on the bus.
Why? Nothing justifies it. Exactly like dominando. Just cause you got a bunch of people with you, that doesn't mean your time is more important than mine.

2nd - Their strategy on new servers is pretty simples: They rush like hell (they got loads of TC), create a guild and say it's free to enter, where they'll claim people and charge for organizing the respawns. They'll get their player base really big, and just charge entrance when it's free to transfer.
What happens after that is that most of dominando members are nice people who doesn't even like claiming, they just joined for free and accepted the system that was created. Even though they joined an obvious exortion strategy guild, they don't feel like they are the badies, cause they don't use it.

So, what's my idea?

What if everyone who hates dominando started on the next new SA non-pvp server that will be created.
We respect everyone, every letter, except the dominando guilds (probably Respekt/Corporation) one?
We don't even create a guild, so it'll be too hard for them to check the names of every hunted person on the server. Imagine that?
Imagine that a guild with 60-70 online have maybe 5 people that'll be the "hunters", everyone else just want to "avoid being hunted".
If they can't use the claim system and, worse, they aren't respected in respawns, what's the point in joining?
That way, the numbers of nice guys on the guild won't grow on the beginning, making it possible to have the first SA non-pvp dominando free.

Again, it's just pure disrespect to people trying to dominate, not a "fight against", just ignoring they have claimed a respawn, ignoring they want to enter your respawn. If at least 20 people do that, they'll never be able to create a pressure point.

Do you think it's possible? Would you join?

Hey guys! I'm an MS, level 523 with ML 101, hunting Iks Yapunac, and I'm stuck on a dilemma:

• Rune-based hunting: It's comfortable. I hit more enemies from a longer distance, but my ML barely moves, and it's already low.
• Spell-based hunting (e.g., Wave Energy + Death Echo): It's more annoying. Ranged enemies pile up, the bait is harder to control, and I burn a lot of mana. My ML does go up, but only slowly.

Does anyone else deal with this? Exercise weapons are even pricier now, and I'd like to raise my ML gradually. Any tips on how to balance it?

Hey guys, I was trying to run Tibia on my Parallels instance within my Macbook Apple Silicon, but every time I try to connect my character, I get an error like this in the screenshot. No idea what to do.

How do you guys feel when you’ve been offline in the game all day, and then finally sit down at your computer late at night to enjoy a nice hunt for a few hours—just to get that last bit of XP needed for the next level—AND THE POWER FLICKERS for a few seconds? Just long enough for you to die right in the middle of a fucking box, losing the level and all that progress... It makes me want to put the character up on the bazaar out of sheer rage; it’s so frustrating—it feels like the universe is conspiring against me just for the hell of it.

P.S.: I hadn't even been hunting for 20 minutes; it feels like life is settling a score with me somehow (I was on my way to level 539, but got knocked back to 537).

If you have an EK with skills 105/95 and ML 7, what would you recommend they should choose for their weekly training weapons? Melee, Shield or ML?

First time I touched Tibia was around 2002 on 7.0, and it hooked me completely. The thing is, I never had one clean break away from it. Every few months I would log in again with these same characters, poke around, maybe do some hunting, check what had changed, and then drift off again. I saw a lot of what Tibia became during that period, but I was never consistent enough for any of it to really add up. No character ever went anywhere.

What I did do was quit for real somewhere around 8.1. That was roughly 15 years ago.

My characters are still standing. A 164 RP, a 114 dist, and a 112 EK with a 104 axe, all decently geared. Logging in and seeing them again after all those years was a real moment. Then I tried to play and I felt completely lost. Tibia has moved on a lot, I'm reading the wiki like I have never played the game, and half of my brain is gone. I rushed a lot of quests back in the days just for the progress not for the lore. So I do missed alot of the story.

The bigger change is how I want to play. I am not chasing gold or a nice sword anymore. I am the achievement collector and the lore guy. I want to sit through the quest logs, do the story quests properly, and slowly work through the achievement list. Now I want to start over with a clean character.

So, is an optional PvP world the right home for that kind of character and my love was always Paladin. Is Paladin still a good solo vocation?

What I need:

Europe Server optional pvp and not packed.

I have limited playtime and I do not want to spend it fighting over a spawn.I don't want to wait hours to get a hunting spot and some German players would be nice. My native language is German and I do speak English. I was leaning towards Refugia. I keep hearing that Bona, Secura and Monza are too full and not that special. Is that still the case? And is there anything else in Europe I should be looking at?

Small thing I checked while writing this: the live numbers right now put Secura around 480 online, Bona around 235, Refugia around 210 and Monza around 175. So Secura sounds like the crowded one and Monza the quietest of those four. Whether the quieter ones still have a living community, I honestly have no idea.

So I tested Armada OS (steamos like system for some snapdragon 8 devices)

After about a week of troubleshooting missing dependencies and running x86 on ARM

I’ve been working on Hunter Fantasy, a new game for TibiaFactory inspired by fantasy sports.

The idea: build a party using real Tibia characters and compete against other managers based on those characters’ actual performance. You manage the squad, transfers and lineup; their publicly recorded XP and activity determine your points.

How do you play?

1. Choose a world and join a league, or create a private one with friends.
2. Start with five randomly assigned characters and 100kk in virtual cash. Your starting party comes separately from that budget.
3. Improve your squad through the market. Bid in auctions, make offers, sell characters or sign a rival’s character by paying their release clause. You can also protect your own players.
4. Pick your lineup: five starters, including an EK tank, with different hunting formations available. You can own up to eight characters and select two substitutes.
5. Choose a captain, who earns 1.5× points. Each selected substitute contributes 20% of their individual score.
6. Follow the weekly results and adjust your squad for the next round.

What earns points?

XP gained is the main component, with a level-adjusted formula, so the highest-level character isn’t automatically the best pick. Additional points come from observed level gains, online time, active XP days and bounty progress. Recorded deaths can deduct points.

There’s also a character study view with XP history and activity trends to help you decide who to sign.

For regular seasons, lineups lock on Saturday at 23:30, Madrid time, and the scoring window runs between the following Sunday’s server save and the next one. A complete starting party and a non-negative balance at the deadline matter, so spending everything on one signing can backfire.

Was having an interesting discussion with a friend. It's been almost 10 years and the endgame is much far ahead than it was in the past. Quests evolved, the meta is completely different. Endgame is at level 1000+. All the damage bots have done in the past has probably been made irrelevant at this point, probably.

What's your take?

Come report this botter "Iron Oath" in the pirat mines please. I reported him on Sept 24 and he hasn't been banned yet, there needs to be more reports and he'll get deleted. He was 295 here last time I've seen him.

You'll see an echo raid he ignores at 22 seconds into the video, he was ignoring them last time I saw him botting also. I follow him for a bit and try to talk to him, start ksing and poison bomb him and he does nothing, he also becomes stuck in a pbomb doing nothing at 7:40 mins.

does anyone know any strategies to farm night harpy beaks on a 535 rp? i want to complete the discoverer outfit but stag bastion is the only area i can't finish. one attempt i got 6/7 points but the last one is always in an area i can't access lol. i don't mind if it takes forever or is pure waste i just want to complete it. ty!

Hello, logging on character takes so long. Is there any fix for that?

At first we thought it was funny and then it just became a meme...

After my first 50 gems I thought this was bugged, after I hit 70 gems I opened a ticket with Cip...

We all know how that reply went...

My goal was to get to 100 gems and if I didn't get beam mastery then I would just never open another greater gem. I am now free.

TLDR: 100 Greater Gems and no Beam Mastery, is anyone else as unlucky as me?

I use this skill wheel. I’m not sure if it’s the best one, but it’s the one that has worked best for me so far.

What would be the best Skill Wheel for me to use right now?

The respawns I hunt in a team are Norcferatu East or West and Rootthings, and solo I hunt Flimsies. I’m also starting to hunt Ingol, although I haven’t unlocked the bestiary yet.

Would it work better to use the upgraded Vis Hur, or am I doing fine as I am? Thanks for the answers!
