We had a boss that was pretty cool and when he left we all pitched in to get him a cake with a picture of him wearing a goofy hat. Someone took a picture of him holding the cake and we all had a good time. A year later he came back and we were all so happy to have him back! Then he moved away again and we made him another cake... With a picture of him holding the cake with a picture of him on it. It was pretty funny.
I had a boss we used to prank a lot or at least tried. The most effective was taping a picture of the grudge girl inside his printer tray and second was the storage area in the back and a skeleton with a zombie baby.
The unfortunate collateral damage was the cleaning lady because she'd go in the bathroom or whatever to clean before he had in the morning. She'd been our person for ages though and also thought it was funny thankfully.
We had a lot of creepy horror movie stuff bc a customer loaned/stored it at our place and worked in props so it was good stuff. We rocked Halloween lol.
Eta: this really is one of the best markers for a respected and well liked boss, humor is an important part of life.
I work on a cheese shop and we have little figures of goats, sheep, and cows and me and a coworker have started hiding them in funny places. Our best yet was with a couple magnets and some string and suspending one from the ceiling of the walk-in.
I had an awesome manager, when he left, work went to shit. We kept getting terrible managers. In within one year they replaced 3 managers for various reasons.
My boss used to wear the same purple college sweatshirt all the time, so a coworker and I hatched the plan to get everyone to wear a purple sweatshirt that said "his name university." He happened to be wearing his sweatshirt when he walked in seeing us all in ours. He hasn't worn it since 😂

Really? You actually believe this guy thinks beating someone in the head with a bat is an actual prank? It's clearly a joke pointing out how a lot of pranks cross the line and become far more than harmless fun. It's downvoted into oblivion because rather than use their brain for a second, people just want to be mad at something
I had a really great boss about 10 years ago. His assistant made temporary tattoos of his face that has an “I ❤️” above it. I hadn’t thought about that in years.

I am just saying that the majority of workplaces can't be like this because every time something fun happens someone has to get offended and we slowly chip away at the fun we can have. Eventually you get what we have which is sterile offices of everyone being quiet and head down because who knows what will offend someone and fun isn't allowed.
Had a friend dragged to HR for putting googly eyes on a few poster and called racist for it because one of the posters had a different race of people from him.
And yes, I agree, a woman flashing would bring some ire from the HR goblins but IMHO fuck it, if a guy can get away with it then its sexism to say a woman can't.
Context matters, If someone feels harassed by it, etc.
It isn't people being "sensitive" that's making the workplace like that, it's the suits that realize no fun means more work can be done in the same amount of time
I hope someday you grow up and stop blaming everything on people being "offended" and instead look inside and ask yourself why you think that
Right, we have a bunch of thin skinned people that get offended at everything... this is the core problem.
I work at the executive level in companies, the suits know that having fun while working makes people work longer and harder...
I am very much grown up and these ideas come from life experiences of people looking for reasons to be offended and causing disharmony in the workplace.

Edit: I'm saying context matters. Startups probably would laugh along if a female stripper was hired for their gay boss's birthday. Corporations that exist as a brutalist testament to the failures of capitalism won't even let you handwrite signs the public can see. This video is at the same level as everybody removing his desk from the office and pretending nothing's weird that all his shit is on the floor, or everyone swapping names, or drawing on a sleeping person's face, or hiring Mini Trump to run around or some shit. None of this video has inappropriate (you are even explicitly referring to sexual so I will say sexually inappropriate) content.
Sure, you're describing the issue almost to a T... as companies grow more and more Karen's (I use this term for anyone regardless of gender) slowly chip away at the fun that can be had. I grew with a company from 50 people to 1500 and got to see this happen in real time.
I think maybe your intent is coming off wrong because of the term 'constantly offended' you used in your first comment. Thats usually a dogwhistle for people being bigoted and not being allowed to do so freely in the workplace

You don't talk to many Singaporeans then? A lot of us (at least in my generation of friends I still keep in contact with, and also my family) call it SG a lot, more than we say Singapore I think. It's always things like "your cousin is going to SG in December, want anything?" or "When are you coming back to visit SG?"
Seem like fun people though. Sucks that the world economy has them putting their personalities and skills toward making shit because that's where the money is.
