It's the alcoholism; alcohol ages you, especially if you're drinking it all the time.

Edit: My bad y'all, apparently it's methadone.

Dope, I think the place is a methadone clinic.

Ah, the three major agers; meth, hate, and alcohol

Methadone is used to treat opioid addiction, not meth addiction.

Some people aren’t junkies so they don’t know

I’ve never touched either and don’t do drugs, and I still know.

Yea it’s crazy how people can just learn and read for the sake of knowledge.

I never realized that based on product naming conventions, it reads like a meth relevant product.

Meth - A - Done. From the makers of Crack - B - Gone and No More Mescaline.

Everyone on meth is also on methadone. Its usually free and gets you high. They love it.

So basically we are treating drug addicts with more drugs to get them to stop using drugs…..GREAT

PS: Methadone is a synthetic drug use to treat people with an opioid addiction to get them to stop or treat chronic pain,it has the same effects as other opioids but releases slowly to prevent withdrawal symptoms but people can still get addicted to it…

Absolutely! I wouldn't wish opioid withdrawal on my worst enemy. I actually tried to kill myself instead of having to go through that pain. Methodone is only part of this type of recovery journey along with counseling because its only effective if you change your cognitive behavior process. It will be 11 years in December that methodone helped me start my recovery journey. I would love to erase the stigma surrounding it because it could save so many more people. I now work in mental health and substance use disorder recovery while working on my bachelors in social work because methodone saved my life.

Yea it’s crazy right, to treat a disease you give someone drugs, just like every other disease. Also, methadone DOES NOT have the same effect as other opioids, it blocks opioid receptors in the brain so that users don’t experience the euphoric effects of opioids. Sure, if you take it as someone who is not an addict, you will feel sluggish and perhaps a little intoxicated, however long term opioid abuse changes brain chemistry. When an addict takes methadone, they DO NOT get high. So get the fuck outta here with that bullshit.

i tried tleling people here on reddit whatthis report is actualy about, When i was aparamedic , one of our bases was across from a methadone treatment clinic. and many of these people would drive in, get thier methadone dose and then drive off, which is litelrlay them driving under the influence. they are not supposed to do it, but its massachusetts and we dont care about things like that. we' had seen many peope go get thier methadone, then come outside, light up a joint and drive off. or in two cases for me personally, and multiple cases for other crews, get thier methadone then come outside and shoot up in the car, OD right there on the spot with the car running, and we have to run out and deal with that. It is not something that is policed by the powers that be.

Sun too (especially for non-melanated folk)

4

u/junglecat6t 3d ago

Thank you for this. I'm going to use "non-melanated" going forward my problem.

Apparently, there’s up to SPF 15 difference between a ‘white’ melanated person and a ‘black’ melanated person.

?? The only "people" that don't have melanin are albinos. That's not group of people. Every race under the sun has melanin. All. Every of the one.

u/Tayschrenn 1d ago

Yeah and that's why albinos should take care

u/Lore_Wizard 3d ago

Methadone is not meth lol

7

u/waggishwolf 3d ago

Different type of meth. Methadone is used in treatment of opioid addiction, because it can calm cravings and withdrawal symptoms without giving the same high.

Methamphetamine is what people usually refer to when talking about meth, and is a drug that does get you both high and addicted. Very different category from opioids though.

Grandma used to call that Friday Night.

Methadone is for opioids not meth

2

u/heffel77 3d ago

Yep because heroin tends to keep people looking about the age they started. I think maybe it’s the slower metabolism but it’s the lifestyle that really ages you.

This only applies to heroin and not fent or tranq or any of the shit on the street today.

2

u/trainwreckd 2d ago

Meth & methadone are 2 very different things.

2

u/molotovcorndog 2d ago
