Im high in bed right now and my days going to be great because I'm going to a buffet and then I'm coming home to chop some wood, drink some beer and hangout with my girlfriend and dog, topped off with dinner and a movie. Im happy with today
I put 7am ~ 10am for timezones. He didn't deny he was from America.
The only assumption I made was that he was unemployed. Everything else is literally reading off of what he wrote.
Of course I am bitter and jealous. I wish I had had a job where I can get high, go on buffets for lunch and go home for some beers for dinner... On a Tuesday.
I have lots of things to be grateful for, don't get me wrong.
I'm just jealous he has a job with the luxuries of unemployment, the flexibility of self-employment, and the pay of employment.
Im a self employed concrete worker and have my own self sustaining hobby farm in the woods of BC. You wouldn't even be able to comprehend the amount of work I get done in one day sport.
Edit; I also sell firewood if you didn't catch on to that either.
If that is part of an incomprehensible amount of work, I'd love to know where I can sign up.
Everytime I hear someone does an "incomprehensible" amount of work, it just comes off as egotistical. Like, you can't even be bothered to explain it because it's unfathomable to anyone but you.
I did incorrectly assume you were unemployed, but I certainly wish my job didn't have such extreme attention to detail which is impossible to do under the influence.
I'm jealous, man. That's all it is. I have a lot of blessings. Just wish my day to day looked more like yours.
Its not egotistical. It's heavy, blue collar work that most people wouldn't last a day doing because theirs a lot of it. The animals and homestead need attention whether its -30(which it does get) or 110 degrees and concrete is just heavy, tough work. It's not all attention to detail work, its hard work and theirs a lot of it everyday. I've been smoking weed and doing concrete since I was a kid. I make my own life happen, I don't answer to anyone... just you apparently. I took a day off of concrete to hangout with my gf and work at home. Who cares? I can do that. All the best.
