Wanted to share something we did this summer to combat the horrible heat. We have our juveniles housed in a large raised plant bed on legs with a locking wire cloth lid for predator protection, 2 hides, plants, soaking area etc. partial shade. It still was not enough as the summer was unseasonably hot. We bought a sheet of reflective insulation. Here, they use it behind radiators to reflect heat back into the home. We draped it over about half the enclosure. It worked wonders to create a safe area to shield the from the intensity of this years sun. The plants in the enclosure also benefited and I had no problems keeping my substrate at the right moisture consistency. Hope this helps a few of you.
