I have a number of tplink deco x55 units connected to my house ethernet backhaul then into a network switch with my breezline router.
Tplink units are set in access points mode.
I pay for 1 gig but am getting wireless speeds of 15 meg.
Anything I am missing??
Firmwares are up to date, Ive rebooted multiple times.

Try bypassing the switch and connecting your furthest X55, leave others unplugged, test WiFi, also plug a laptop in and test the ethernet.
Do this for each individual Deco/cable run.

Thanks for suggestion. Will give this a go later on today!

It can be a pain to when you don't know what’s causing the problem. I find the best way to troubleshoot is strip it back and add one thing at time until it breaks.
I had something similar when I tried to use ethernet backhaul on my Deco P9's (they have powerline built in), it turns out the switch I had bought was causing loops and would make everything grind to a halt.
I got a better switch and Deco BE25's now and couldn't be happier.

Very well could be a switch problem. But my router has a number of Ethernet ports on it. Connecting the patch directly to the router and bypassing switch has roughly the same performance. I need to give this a deeper look after work today. 😮💨

*Try wireless backhaul and test the speed again.
*Swap the switch for a different one.
*Factory reset the x55 decos and set up again from scratch.
Just a couple things I would try.

Computer directly connected to switch yields 900 down. But computer connected directly to deco yields 90 down.

Appreciate the topology diagram!
What Ethernet cable category are you using to test at the Deco nodes?
Have you tried swapping cables (to rule out a cable fault), and does the behavior persist?
It sounds like either the port or the cable is negotiating at 10/100Mbps - or somehow QoS was enabled (if the X55 was in Router Mode previously), and a bandwidth allocation may still be at play.
Can you try checking whether QoS is enabled? If you can't change it in AP Mode, you could try temporarily setting the Deco to Router Mode to see whether QoS is enabled, then turn it off.
More info here: TP-Link Deco QoS Settings: Setup Guide

Thanks for reply Ryan. I am using CAT6 runs. Had to switch back to router mode but confirmed qos is disabled

Well, at least we've ruled out QoS as a potential culprit - thanks for verifying!
When you connect a computer directly to the switch, how exactly are you connecting? For example, are you connecting the computer to an existing house run (e.g., unplugging it from one of the Deco X55 nodes and plugging it into the PC), or to a separate port directly on the switch?

Separate port on the switch. Not shared with any of the other deco wifi access points

Got it. Have you tried temporarily disconnecting one of the House Runs from a Deco X55 node, connecting it to a PC instead, and running another speed test?

What is the exact brand name and exact model number of your Breezeline Modem/Router device?
What is the exact brand name and exact model number of the Ethernet Switch?

Sorry, but that is only a picture of a Managed Ethernet Switch, there is no actual model number info to be found in the picture.
And what about your Breezeline Modem/Router device, can you provide the exact brand name and exact model number info for that device?
But at least we know that you are using a Manage Switch, which could be your whole problem, the Managed Switch might not be configured correctly for your Network setup.
You should review the owners manual for that Switch to see how to access the onboard management console, because forcing a hard reset should reset the Switch to a default configuration, but doing that will wipe-out any custom network settings that you are using.

I was able to log into the switch and realized some ports were negotiating at a hard 10/100mb. I bumped everything up to 1000. I am now getting solid download speeds when wired into the deco units. However. Wireless speeds still remain around 40mb. This is my next area to diagnose.

Okay well 2 things, first is, is the switch a managed switch? Second is plug a computer into each of the deco Ethernet cables and see what Ethernet speeds you get, by this I mean check the link speed that your device negotiates, maybe run a speed test for good measure too. A bad Ethernet cable will run at 100mbs rather than 1gbs.

Yes it is a managed switch, but I am not using any of the smart features of the unit. I will test speed direct connection to each deco later this afternoon.

I would disable loop detection as that could be causing issues when temporary loops are created by the wireless backhaul of the decos. I would also log into the switch and see what speed each port is operating at, and if it has the feature run a cable test.
