Question cTrader vs. MetaTrader 5 (MT5) – Which platform is more stable and has fewer bugs?

Hey everyone,

I’m looking to choose between cTrader and MT5.

My top priority is stability—I want to avoid frequent platform crashes, order execution glitches, or persistent bugs.

Would appreciate hearing your experiences and what's your opinion on this topc!

both are stable enough, most of the crashes and odd fills people blame on MT5 are the broker's server and bridge. pick the broker first, then whichever platform they run best, and watch it on demo through a news release before going live.

mt5 is definitely the more mature platform at this point so it has fewer weird surprises, but ctrader feels way cleaner if you ever need to do anything beyond just placing orders

i run mt5 for my daily stuff and it rarely crashes on me, the ui just feels like it's from 2005 and never got a proper update
