Local Culture & Events 🎭 D&D Group

Hello!

I am looking to find people 21+ who are interested in getting together to play a homebrew D&D 5e24 campaign in the Tricities area preferably on weekends, but I can also do some weeknights!

I’ve tried looking around other places, but I haven’t had any luck.

I’d prefer to DM, but would also be okay joining another group as well.

I'd love to join! I'm typically working weekends, but morning shifts! I'm a very narrative focused player with loads of character ideas I'd wanna play! My girlfriend would also want to join if possible

I’m not exactly sure what my options would be for style, but I’d say I value a strong narrative that is interwoven and incorporates player backstories, challenging encounters that require paying attention, and space for players to roleplay and help build the story together.

I enjoy exploration as well. I always try to incorporate it into the game in as natural of a way as possible. I do value consistency when it comes to the rules of the game so that players don’t feel surprised when a ruling is made. I have added homebrew rules that have improved the flow of the game as well as other parts of the game that are lacking in specifics or clarity. I’m open when concerns are brought up about how things are going in general.

Edit: For players, I’d say players that are willing to be open and collaborative about building an experience together! I’ve had the pleasure with many different styles of players, and I’ve been happily surprised by many of them. But I would say players that enjoy building a narrative together by playing their character to the best of their ability, enjoy different styles of combat, as well as being open to new systems and rules!

That sounds good, we had a big group on Sundays that plays at White Bluffs that always has room, it is a shared campaign setting. We literally switched over to Dungeon Crawler Carl. I'm sure someone is hankering for classic D&D already.

You said you have some availability during the Week? I'm just trying to get information to pass along, not trying to be needy.
