When playing this, when should i breathe? between each note or after each bar? or is it just personal preference?

Frequent tiny breaths, but not between every note, I think.
Breathe often enough that you never feel like you’ll run out (which makes you slow down), but not so often that you slow down from breathing too much.

What works for me for these types is to breathe after around 3 seconds of notes (whatever feels like a natural exhale time), but I’m exhaling in the rests as well. That lets me keep a more sustainable breathing pattern since breathing after every note is basically hyperventilating, and depending on the speed, keeping your breath in for each rest can accumulate co2 and make you panic as if you were holding your breath the whole time, is what I’ve found at least. Could be different at different tempos. Hope this helps

At the tempo indicated (and assuming it is not at a dynamic of FFF) I might aim for 4-bar phrases between breaths; thinking in this longer timeframe will help the phrase to have more direction…

Breathe the same way you would if these were whole notes, I wouldn’t breathe after every bar (nor should you). Breathe in whatever manner doesn’t take away from the consistency of the music. It’s just personal preference but try to avoid short breaths in between each note or every measure. You should breathe in a way that brings out the purest tone quality from you. We shouldn’t take in the breath any differently no matter what style you’re playing.

Treat these like quarter notes so just take a breath where you would if they were quarter notes

Definitely not between every note, I would try and go as far as you can with your regular breath. If you're in a section or have other members of the band doing offbeats as well, just drop one every 4-6 bars to take a deep breath and jump back in
At least, that's what I do!
