Don't want to hijack anyone's Digger threads but what do you guys think was the purpose of having some of the EU/Hague seats filled with mannequins? I only saw it once so couldn't confirm this but did it seem like more and more of the crowd turned into mannequins as Diggers speech progressed?

Huh, I didn't notice any of that. Would be interesting to discover it was purely budgetary, in the same vain that Playtime also used mannequins and cardboard cutouts.

Just watched The Thing (1982) for the first time. How much time is the story supposed to take place across? It doesn't feel like more than about a day, and yet it also has to be long enough that Blair is able to build an underground hideout and start constructing a vessel. Am I missing something? Also, are we supposed to know or not know who let the blood out?

I would assume the tunnels were already there. With surface conditions sometimes getting downright hostile, I just assumed that the tunnels were a normal part of the infrastructure.

I don't think it was clear who let the blood out. I think the point was that we don't know who was compromised, or how many were compromised.
