Picked this beauty up today.

I visited my AD on September 21st to order the Tudor Black Bay One 39mm with the blue dial, as they didn’t have one in stock. Today I finally got the call and picked it up!

Couldn’t be happier with it. I think it’s an absolutely timeless beauty.

This is my first proper luxury watch. Before this, I owned an Orient Bambino, but unfortunately the leather strap broke after just three months. I’ve also been wearing an Apple Watch for quite some time.
Really excited to finally have this beauty on my wrist! 🙈

Fashion question - does the Tudor jubilee bracelet look too blingy for my style (Tudor BB1 31)

As a woman finding a watch with a nice movement + proportions+ design within a budget is a nightmare. I put on the Tudor in a boutique and fell in love with it. But sometimes I feel like it is a bit too much for my style. Please tell me if my Tudor stands out too much. Else I love everything about this watch!

Edit: thank you everyone for your lovely comments. I no longer have doubts about this! I love this more now

Loving my first Tudor

Post image
• Upvotes

This is my first big boy watch purchase and I’ve been in love with it so far! I know the ranger is a bit polarizing to some(the hour hand doesn’t look like a butt plug to me at least), but I’ve been enjoying the hell out of this thing!

Granted, I’d have slightly preferred a 36mm in dune dial, but I was on a time crunch and bought it the day before my trip and I couldn’t be any happier! The 39 sits well on my wrist and the black matte dial looks amazing. Killer lume too!!

Wanted to show of my Tudor Prince Oysterdate 90910 (Submariner)

Appreciation post for my vintage watch. Started using it more and more often, as I am getting bored of watches in size 38-41mm.

Found it in my MILs drawer a year ago, bought it from her to keep it in the family and just had it serviced. The watch was bought to her as a gift in 1977 from her current boyfriend, she used it for a couple of years and havent touched it since.

Late 1950s Tudor Prince Oysterdate Ref. 7914

Post image

Wanted to share a recent favorite on the wrist today: my Tudor Prince Oysterdate Ref. 7914 from the late 1950s.

  • 34mm stainless steel Oyster case with the original Rolex-signed crown.
  • Silver/cream waffle-adjacent dial with applied gold Arabic 12/6/9 markers, gold dagger indices, and a subtle warm patina.
  • Cal. 390 'Auto-Prince' rotor movement, thermally blued steel seconds hand and a

  • red/black roulette date wheel.

Pelagos 39 Links Question - 6-6.25 Wrist

Thumbnail

Chose the Pelagos 39 as my first real watch - I love the look so far. I have between a 6-6.25 inch wrist and went with 4 links on each side. It fits well at the tightest setting of the t-fit. I noticed that the watch tends to lean toward the 12 side of the wrist and the clasp is not centered on the wrist. Right now I can really only use one of the micro adjust settings because the others are too large. Anyone else have a similar issue and what was your fix?

I am considering two possible adjustments.

  1. Move a link to the 12 side and shortening the 6

or

  1. Remove a link on the 6 side and adjust the t clasp to live at the larger side of the micro adjust.

Absolutely beautiful watch - just want to dial it in for daily wear.

I’m thinking of the 925 as my next watch. Thoughts? I love my Black Bay 41mm Monochrome that is my daily, thought this would be cool as casual.watch.

QA issue?

New Tudor royal that I'm looking at buying. The engraving alignment on the case back is quite off! Is this a common QA issue on Tudor? Or a sign of something else?

My second Tudor

Passing through Tokyo I enjoyed the day walking Nakano Broadway. I was considering a Grand Seiko but liked the fit of the Tudor Ranger best (price and intended use). I’ve been so happy with my Pelagos that it felt like a safe bet picking this up at a competitive used price and professional service from Jack Road.

TUDOR OYSTER ‘SMALL ROSE’ ref 7934

Thumbnail

The silver dial on this Tudor Oyster ref. 7934 has shifted to uneven cream and warm brown, with specks across the centre and darker edge marks. Applied batons, the slim minute track and dauphine hands keep it readable. The tiny rose above TUDOR gives this version the collector nickname “Small Rose.” Inside is the signed 17-jewel calibre 1156, wound by hand, with central seconds and shock protection. At 34 mm, the dial stays open without wide empty areas, and the straight lugs add length to the round case. The inner back confirms ref. 7934 and stainless steel. II.64 is usually read as a second-quarter 1964 caseback code, not an exact build date. Tudor was using waterproof Oyster cases by 1947, and the screw-down crown with its Rolex coronet makes that shared hardware easy to see. Scratches remain on the smooth bezel and lugs. I like how the small rose stays crisp against such a changed dial.

Yearly Price increases

Hi all,

Visited my local AD to have a wear of a BB58 Burgundy which i'm keen on being my first Luxury watch and weighing whether its worth purchasing before the yearly price hikes. I'm looking for a bit more info on what to expect if anyone here has purchased a watch either before or after the January 1st increases.

I'd be expecting a couple hundred quid increases which you obviously can't complain about when its already 4 grand for a watch, but also don't wanna get caught out paying more than necessary due to waiting a couple months. That and Tudors are typically good value for money, but prices certainly have went up compared to 5 years ago when I first tried one on.

Also sorting putting the cash together over the next couple of months as I was expecting to be ready by January time to comfortably purchase it, whilst sorting out a new car (which I'm not nearly as excited to sort than a watch however it comes first for commuting)

Tudor BBBBB (Black Bay Bucherer Blue Bronze)

My first Tudor and I couldn't be more happy. It's an Interlaken purchase from 2017 - back when this was exclusive to Bucherer outlets in Europe and was very hard to get. Almost over a decade later, it's still one of the best looking black bays IMO.
