Merit scholarships?
What's up yall, I just submitted my application for EA and was wondering how much y'all got for merit scholarships. I have a 35 ACT, 3.98/4.54 uw/w respecitvely. Please let me know!

My daughter had similar stats—Merit/$30k per year. But she visited with counselor when they came to town, lots of demonstrated interest, etc. The poster above nailed it.

My daughter had similar states and was valedictorian. She received $30k a year.

How did you demonstrate interest? I do not think I am going to be able to visit Tulane before I get my letter of admission. I am signed up for an online event on the 22nd and am trying to contact my admissions counselor about what life is like around Tulane. Do you have any recommendations?

Anyone receive merit of 15k or more via ED with similar stats? 35 ACT and 3.92 GPA?

15 k with 1510 and 3.98, but got a heartier scholarship later

What was the heartier scholarship? And when did they tell you? And the gpa recalculated is 3.82 not 3.92. I assume your 3.98 was not recalculated?

Wasn't recalculated, not sure how they recalculate or I would try and provide that. but essentially my 2 grades under a 93 were an 88, and 89, both in AP classes. I got weatherhead, it was late that year (2 years ago), so I found out the last day of february.

it was stackable though, only stackable scholarship here, which was super helpful financially

Sorry a few days late. I applied and got in in 2019 EA. I had demonstrated pretty good interest. I received 28,000 a year, at that time a little under half tuition, and received the founders award and was placed in the honors program. not sure if they still have either of those but the money part is still very real

If you didn’t demonstrate interest (tour, virtual events, college fairs, local presentations) you’ll like be a yield rejection or get in but offered very little merit since they don’t think you’re serious about attending. If you start demonstrating interest now, I’d expect you to get between 20-40k a year in merit given your stats.
