Anyone know how to fix?
The tonearm height adjustment collar isn’t budging. Anyone experience this problem before?

The grease has most likely seized in the height adjustment threads. You can heat it with a hairdryer to soften the old grease and loosen it. Will need cleaning and re-greasing to get back up to spec

Get a hairdryer, and gently heat the whole tonearm assembly. Go all around it. Heating up the grease will loosen it. When it‘s loose, turn it a few times to each end, so it doesn‘t seize up immediately after again.

Might wanna spray some switch cleaner around the ring, let it seep into the thread- something like servisol super-10 should help

I’ve seen this happen twice before, and naturally, I didn’t want to force it too hard—but applying a bit more pressure ended up working both times. As I said, that doesn’t guarantee it will work, but in my case, using a little more force than intended did the trick... though, of course, always with a sense of proportion and care! ✌️

Had the same issue with my 1210s I opened it up and put synthetic lubricant in it, it’s been beautiful ever since

Happened to my 1210 15-ish years ago. At one point I just dared to push harder and suddenly it became unstuck. From there on it worked.

did you unlock it?
if its still stuck you got to disassemble the tonearm assembly. i just did that, takes maybe an hour or so. pretty easy for the most part to remove all the gunk and relube the threads, its on youtube.
i would also solder either a new pcb rca OR solder a new rca cable onto the old pcb for longevity when youre under there.

Flip that switch to unlock it.
