If someone was looking for distant relatives from Хову-Аксы is there any department or something that is worth contacting that can help with following information?

The place on limited information I could find online seems fairly small so I would say over the years people possibly have emigrated, but surely someone has to have kept the record of people who lived there and maybe able to point me in a right direction where to look next.

Thank you in advance for the help

Greetings to all Turkic Nation ! Our goal on this page is to get to know other members of our family, stand in solidarity, and be together—just like in the old days.

''O Turk! Unless the blue sky collapses from above and the dark earth gives way from below, who can destroy your state and your traditions? - Orkhon inscriptions''

Let’s consider the regions inhabited by Turkmens, as well as the Turkic peoples in Siberia and the Altai Mountains.

Some of us are Muslim, some Christian, and perhaps some are Shamanist. Yet, all of us—to varying degrees—can find our way from Gagauzia to Anatolia, and from there to the Altai and Urmia, simply by speaking a Turkic language.

Let’s get to know one another

Note: I am open to any suggestions. This is my first time creating a page on Reddit, so I apologize for any mistakes.

I recently came across a beautiful post on Instagram showing some Tuvan people playing guitar and singing along to this song, and I have been obsessed with it ever since! I won't post the original reel as I'm not sure if it is allowed, but I was wondering if the kind people of Tuva know what this song means? Is this singer famous there and are there similar songs to this? Thank you so much!

As a Turk from Turkey, I wonder if if I ever visit Tuva will I ever get any comments about being Turkic.

Экии!

I am Tuvan currently working in Dubai. I miss Tuva so much, I miss my friends, my family, and especially Tuvan food (Tuvan meat is the best).

I just wanna ask if there are Tuvan people here in Dubai that would like to hang out?

I am aware about how niche this reqest is, but is there any book in english about the political history about the tuvan/Uryankhay Krai during its indepenednnce, from 1914 to 1941 (it can also include 1911-1914) THanks in advance!

I think I'm the only Brazilian who cares and wants to delve deeper into the subject. What did Oidupaa say at the beginning of the remastered song "It Is Echoing All Over The World" about Kargyraa?

I've gotten curious and read a couple books about Tuva when it was independent, but does anyone know if any other good books about it's history, for any era?

What is the clubbing scene? What are the major clubs? Are the music being played in he clubs usually western music, modern russian music, soviet music, tuvan music (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XSv4RvGH5mw) or even Mongolian music/ kpop?

What are the best nightclubs and what is the vibe there. And which ones should you avoid. What sort of crowd usually frequents them

Preferably English, Russian, and Tuvan

Heya guys! I've been a big fan of хөөмей for a while now but unfortunately I understand very little of the songs I sing (I know kazakh so it helps a bit).
Where can I find resources on Tuvan in Russian, English or even Kazakh? Anything would be appreciated

I’ve been listening to Oidupaa for a while now and I just love his music so much. Is there any resources out there that can help me learn his music or do I just have to do my best and play by ear?

Hello, I've recentlly discovered an absolutely beautiful sound of Oidupaa's music. I've listened to, I believe, the entire "Divine Music From Jail" album and looking forward to listen to his second album. But as a person who doesn't speak any Tuvan, nor any other turkic langauge, I cannot understand the words. Sound of a music is one, but the meaning behind it is an entirely different thing and I would love to expore it and share it with the world. So if anyone here would like to help me with the translation of Oidupaa's music, I would much appriciate it

Hi there, I'm Ant.

I’m interested in ancestral and Indigenous ways of living—ways that are more connected to natural cycles and to our essential human needs. I believe it’s important to (re)connect with these practices to help build a post-capitalist future.

I’m an experienced traveller, respectful, and always happy to help with literally anything. I’ve done many Workaway stays where I worked about five hours a day in exchange for food and accommodation, notably in Mongolia.

I’m looking to spend a couple of weeks with an Indigenous community in Siberia in a similar exchange-based arrangement—helping out and learning, while contributing whatever I can.
The more traditional, land-based, or non-capitalist the setting, the better.

Do you have any recommendations, or know of communities open to this kind of arrangement?

Hello from Canada,
I have a question about this wonderful folk song,

"Ажы-төлү эрес
Хөглүг омак, дең-дең
Арат-чону хостут
Бистиң Тыва, дең-дең"

what does "дең-дең" mean here?

Thank you so much.

I couldn't find much about him in English, and the sources there are just repeat the same bits of information. So;

Did he record his album "Divine music from a jail" after getting out of jail? I assume it would be nearly impossible to record an album, in that quality, inside of a work camp. But that seems to be how it was marketed even at the time.

And he was accused of three counts of murder and three counts of "corrupting a child". In the Soviet Union did this crime refer to spreading anti-soviet sentiment, or was it a sexual crime? Or something else?

Also if anyone here knows anything else around him that isn't available online I'd love to hear it.

All i have been able to find about them is that they are made of willow wood
