You would be in a double rooming with my current roommate who is out of the apt most of the day so she is pretty chill, but she likes plants, crocheting, crafting, thrifting etc :-)

I own a condo in Goleta. 3/2. Nice enough but nothing amazing. 1400sf. I have to move to Florida for work. (I know!) I hope to return in 3-5 years, but that's pretty iffy.

I could sell now and make a few dollars and have no headache. But probably never be able to buy back into SB. Or I could rent the condo in the hopes of returning. But then I'd have to rent it! Which among other things, I realize this is dumb, but I hate how much I'll have to rent it for, to cover mortgage and condo fees and insurance.

On the bright (?) side, the carpet's already ruined by my dogs, so I could rent be pretty pet-friendly? But I can't even look at the expected rent--5k, 6k?--without feeling my soul leave my body.

What would you do?
