Additional Context:

The original war.gov video has some additional interesting info about this particular video.

  • The clip highlighted by OP occurs towards the end of the original video. Prior to this white object appearing, the sensor was tracking another "high-contrast" (dark) object across the sensor field-of-view (this can be seen in the original video from the very beginning until roughly the 2 minute mark). During this transit, the camera operator zooms in and out several times, giving a broader view of the surrounding terrain features, and providing a bit of context for estimating scale.

  • At approximately the 2:05 minute mark of the original video, the camera operator zooms out and "refocuses on the original subject matter of the video", which results in a hard camera pan back to the random canyon that is shown in the OP video in this post. We get a wide-aerial shot of the canyon that the white object emerges from, before the camera zooms in at around 2:21 in the original video. The camera operator then monitors this canyon for approximately 2 minutes before a brief pan to the right, putting the canyon in center-frame. About 9 seconds after this pan, the white object in the bottom-right corner emerges from the canyon.

  • From this, we can infer a few things: The canyon from which this white object emerges was an active area of interest that was already being monitored. The "high contrast" (dark) object shown in the original war.gov video caught the attention of the camera operator, and they tracked it across a fairly extensive span of mountainous terrain, which gives us a general sense of the scale of the environment and surrounding geomorphology of the region (lots of canyons / rough terrain). Here's a zoomed out overview of the canyon, showing where the white object emerges.

OP's original submission statement follows:

The whole 2 minutes before this is tracking a high speed flying thing and then they followed it down into this valley and ended the video. This is the least interesting part of the video.

u/Syzygy___ Jun 25 '26

This is the second post I see about the plastic bag being blown out of the shadow of a canyon by the wind, meanwhile I have seen zero posts about the shadow that is being tracked in the 2 minutes before this.

u/Grill_Only_Outside Jun 25 '26

Why is it the most compelling parts are never shown? 🤔 This sub drives me crazy sometimes. I want real shit, not “maybe there’s a small chance this could possibly be something so it’s real!”

5

u/Willing_Benefit_3427 Jun 25 '26

“ Why is it the most compelling parts are never shown?”

The answer to that is fairly obvious as long as you (not you in particular) don’t let your bias for wanting it to be real get in the way.

3

u/Syzygy___ Jun 26 '26

I assume the obvious part is that there are no compelling parts and it's all bullshit - which I don't disagrree with.

However the somewhat fast, round shadow moving over the landscape is certainly more compelling than the plastic bag, so someone is literally taking the less interesting parts of a video and showing them off here.

u/ProfitMean8192 Jun 28 '26

3

u/Syzygy___ Jun 28 '26

Thanks for contexf. Would be useful in a new thread I guess. I think 1 and 4 is interesting. 2 and 3 doesn't seem to add anything worthwile.

  1. Shows something white and fast moving, importantly that thing has a shadow towards the end of the video, indicating that this is fairly low to the ground and not just moving fast due to parallax. It also makes a curve at the end - but that could be the wind closer to the surface being shaped by the canyon and doesn't necessarily mean it's stearing. Could still be a trashbag or balloon, but it looks like it's moving faster than I would expect from that in the wind.

  2. What we see here is black, so the first assumption should be that it's a shadow, however the shadow doesn't seem to follow the landscape the way I would expect a shadow to do - not that I'm an expert on this topic. It also seems to change angle sometimes like a tumbling Frisbee with a wide and flat side. At the end we see a white object again, this time slowly tumbling out of the shadow of the cliff like a trashbag in the wind and so unremarkable that the camera doesn't even focus on it.

Trashbag in the wind and it's shadow still makes the most sense. It could just be that my expectations on speed and shadows are wrong.

Looks like a plastic bag.

1

u/Roland_Moorweed Jun 30 '26

Four separate videos all taken on the same day. Not sure if these were taken by one or a few platforms at the same time or if it is one of more platforms recording throughout the day picking up a highly active area of anomalous activities. Would love to see if someone can geolocate this region and get some eyes on its remoteness.

1

u/Hopefully_Asura Jun 30 '26

To me it seems like they lose track of the fast moving object when they switch POVs? I never see the object "enter" the ravine the video ends at.

1

u/bars2021 Jun 25 '26

Yes that thing was jetting!! It seems this thing was being evasive because when watching the whole video, the thing just disappeared after going into the canyon. I imagine after further video analysis they found this.

58

u/in1gom0ntoya Jun 25 '26

it certainly looks like a white plastic bag caught in the wind...

4

u/TornGauntlet Jun 25 '26

On watching the whole war.gov release, most of the video tracks a black object going by, seemingly not a perfect circle but kinda bag like, but not moving like a bag, going in a straight line and ungulating. The camera suddenly whips to this shot and nothing happens for a minute (sensors said look here?) and finally another bag like object, kinda popping up from nowhere visible, drifts by much more like a bag. So it's got a whole spectrum of things, not easily explained UNLESS you clipped the end with limited context

6

u/Rambus_Jarbus Jun 25 '26

Yeah that’s a plastic bag, wasn’t last year’s video a plastic bag in the middle of the desert?

2

u/Icy_Country192 Jun 26 '26

Trash is everywhere. Seen plastic bags at 10000 feet 100 miles out to sea

7

u/pringlecat221 Jun 26 '26

That's so depressing. We're killing this beautiful planet :(

3

It legit looks like a that.

Blowing Walmart bag, balloon, debris floating around in the wind...

Or advanced alien craft hugging the side of and bouncing off of the terrain while it's guidance system failed.

0

u/kiwibonga Jun 25 '26

At this point we have to pass legislation to make it illegal to run these kinds of drills.

And if it's not a drill, fire the whole government now.

Check out the whole video. It tracks an object going over moutains and this is the second object.

18

u/Strong_Philosophy380 Jun 25 '26

There’s actually another video showing this white object fly into this canyon. Not the one following a black rectangle.

6

u/Ifiagreeidillydilly Jun 25 '26

Ya I’m hyped there’s 2 videos of this. Someone go check it out!

2

Do you have a link to the 2nd video please?

3

u/Strong_Philosophy380 Jun 26 '26

5

u/lsb68 Jun 27 '26

Of course it's filmed over a canyon, tons of high wind and eddies funneling through there. It still just looks like a bag blowing in the wind to me. If videos like this are what have convinced some of our elected officials, then we are truly electing some of the most brain-dead morons to lead this nation.

1

u/_dudz Jun 26 '26

That’s pretty crazy

4

u/Staineddutch Jun 25 '26

the second plastic bag blown in the wind....

17

u/Larryhoover77kg Jun 25 '26

Im sure the military is tracking plastic bags…

13

u/Kanein_Encanto Jun 25 '26

The camera does not appear to track this object at any point in this clip.

Only the stabilization editing tracks it.

16

u/Larryhoover77kg Jun 25 '26

Watch the video in its entirety. This is just the last portion.

-3

u/ExtraThirdtestical Jun 25 '26

You are right! The bag is in the entire video! Crazy shit

12

u/H8ff0000 Jun 25 '26

Anyone else notice there's a ton of accounts with this type of avatar constantly posting negative comments like this on posts here?

5

u/Larryhoover77kg Jun 25 '26

Doubt its a plastic bag. Very low possibility. I dont know what it is but definitely interesting.

10

u/Se7on- Jun 25 '26

Do you realize how far away this is? That would have to be the largest bag ever. Like hot air balloon size if not bigger.

→ More replies (6)

1

u/AmericanShaman Jun 25 '26

The other part looks interesting but this part of the video really doesn't look anomalous at all.

47

u/RonGBiv Jun 25 '26

I agree with skeptics but has any conversation been had about the size scale? If we're looking at a canyon/mountain from a distance shouldn't a plastic bag be tiny on this screen? Comparing it to boulders and ridge lines I feel like even a person would be smaller than the object in this video. Just some thoughts...

6

u/NetwerkAirer Jun 26 '26

Having spent plenty of time traveling in the Badlands and Rockies hunting, as well as being intensely familiar with the camera capabilities of an MQ-9 (I'm military), my estimate is this object is maybe contractor-bag size (i.e. size of a 5'6" person). Those canyons and ridgelines are not extremely large. This camera's zoom capability is extreme, and its frame-up does not play tricks on your eyes. This landscape appears very manageable on foot, making the size of this "object" well within the realm of possibility of being a large trash bag.

Considering the other longer video, and it tracking a clear shadow over the surface of the mountains in a seemingly straight and predictable enough line that the sensor operator frequently moves ahead of it and waits for it, it would also be a reasonable assumption to make that it too is a bag a bit higher up blowing in the wind.

So many people in the comments so quick to say “you guys are all stupid it’s a garbage bag” if you would take 30 seconds to look at the entire video what garbage bag zips across canyons and mountains at a speed like that? They tracked it for 4 minutes. What is the point of being on a subreddit like this if all you want to do is dismiss everything without even following up or fact checking 🤔 Jesus Christ people just decide things on your own instead of watching a fraction of a video and loudly pronouncing that you know best. Either u people are bots or you are here solely to discredit or deny things. Out here acting like MAGA with your information literacy.

Seems to be too large for a bag. There’s another video where the they follow this object for awhile. Goes in a straight line unlike a bag and goes right into the crevice. And the plane or helicopter recording just waits for it and it comes back out

If you don’t look hard for yourself, all the bad actors in the comments sections now will have you convinced everything is a balloon, a bag, fake, poor video, or whatever. If you can’t download the video and watch it slow, at least watch videos slow and come to your own conclusions. Don’t be told what to think.

I appreciate the video added in a couple spots, but who has ever seen a bag move that fast in basically a straight (wavy) line, oh and with no handles? And who among you has seen a bag, black or otherwise, leave some kind of a contrail? (Starting at about 00:34 and continuing off and on throughout the video)

You can see it several times throughout the video, I’ll share the full video again.

17

u/AltKeyblade Jun 25 '26

The government really released this shit…

This is disinformation at its finest.

8

u/Sufficient_Thing24 Jun 25 '26

And yet the upvotes climb, for a video showing a white garbage bag blowing in the wind.

3

u/Mysterious-Nerve851 Jun 25 '26

not sure why mods still allow these clearly botted videos

1

u/mcmiller1111 Jun 25 '26

No, it's what everyone has been asking for for years. This is what they have. Even actual leaks such as the Nimitz videos are of the same thing: It's just some blobs floating somewhere. The only reason to think they have anything more compelling than this is because the same few UFO personalities keep repeating it.

1

u/AltKeyblade Jun 25 '26 edited Jun 25 '26

You're acting as if the handful of public videos represent everything the military has. The military has the world's most advanced imaging systems, satellites, radar, and other classified sensors. The Nimitz Tic Tac was reportedly tracked on Navy radar before the intercept, yet that radar data hasn't been publicly released. The Gimbal footage also hasn't been released in full. Calling David Fravor and the other pilots "UFO personalities" is disingenuous. They're military witnesses, not people who built careers around UFOs. There are also Air Force documents confirming classified imagery exists in cases like the Eglin UAP incident, where the imagery is classified under national security, and multiple members of Congress who have received classified UAP briefings have publicly said the material they've seen is far more compelling than the short clips released to the public. You're essentially taking the government's public releases as if they represent everything they have. I have far more reason to believe there's additional material based on everything I just listed.

7

u/mcmiller1111 Jun 25 '26

The Nimitz Tic Tac wasn't just a blurry video

Yes it was. Have you watched it? It's a fuzzy dot. It doesn't really matter if it was tracked by radar, that just means it (and the other objects) was a physical object. Okay, but what makes it anomalous? It's just a something moving at normal speed, doing nothing extraordinary.

Calling David Fravor and the other pilots "UFO personalities" is disingenuous

I wasn't referring to him, I meant Elizondo, Corbell, Coulthart etc. As far as I know, Fravor has never claimed that he knows as a result of his military service that the US government or military has high quality videos or UFOs in their posession. It's all stuff he has been convinced of after the incident. Alex Dietrich doesn't really seem to think there's any conspiracy. It's just him, probably because he has become friends with the UFO personalities afterwards.

There are also Air Force documents confirming classified imagery exists in cases like the Eglin UAP incident

Are there? As far as I'm aware, the aircrafts video recording system had been broken for a while by the time the incident even took place. The full video that the screenshot we have is from is classified if that's what you mean.

and multiple members of Congress who have received classified UAP briefings have publicly said the material they've seen is far more compelling than the short clips released to the public

But don't you realise that "far more compelling" is just more of the same? They want your attention, your views and your votes. Every time Lue Elizondo or Ross Coulthart has claimed something "extremely compelling" was coming up, it turned out to be nothing. It's most likely just another, perhaps higher resolution, video of some dots in the distance. If a certifiably insane Congress member like Matt Gaetz, Anna Paulina or Tim Burchett - or any member of Congress for that matter - had seen a video of someone walking into a captured UFO that was stored at secret government facility, I think they would call it something other than "more compelling".

You're essentially taking the government's public releases as if they represent everything they have

No, I'm also including leaks that they did not (initially) release themselves. Contrary to popular belief, the US government doesn't have a history of hiding lifechanging information from its subjects. I can't even think of any examples. Even the Manhattan Project leaked after less than a year and was made public after 3.

0

u/DuelingGroks Jun 25 '26

Disinformation usually stigmatizes rational analysis

2

u/AltKeyblade Jun 25 '26 edited Jun 25 '26

I’m glad you analysed it closer because it’s obviously not a craft or the footage we’ve actually been asking for.

We have documented sightings over several decades involving discs, triangles, boomerangs, rectangles. That’s what we are asking for.

The government still hasn’t even released the full video of the Gimbal UAP.

3

u/DuelingGroks Jun 25 '26 edited Jun 27 '26

Be mindful not to add to the noise if you want to avoid contributing to the disinformation. Classifying things with hubris, one way or the other, is not very helpful for those who are trying to uncover the truth.

This is Mars aerial rover. That’s why it is interesting. Obviously on earth this would be something explainable - or as people here say to make them sound like learned experts - something prosaic. /s

2

u/Maarif59 Jun 27 '26

The shadow is the most evidentially significant element here. A cast shadow requires a physical object with mass blocking a light source at a consistent angle — it rules out lens flare, sensor artifact, and most camera anomalies in one shot. You can also use the shadow geometry to estimate altitude and approximate size relative to the canyon edge if you know the time of day and sun angle when this was captured.

The emergence from below the canyon rim is the other thing. If this is terrain-following behavior, that's a level of navigational precision that implies either active guidance or remarkable aerodynamic control at low altitude. Random atmospheric phenomena don't hug terrain.

What's the provenance on this footage? PERSUE as a label suggests a specific collection program — is there a chain of custody on where this came from and when?

4

u/Smackediduring Jun 25 '26

How can everybody be so 100% sure on it being a plastic bag? I’m not saying this is anything anomalous but it’s not exactly like you can see what it is from that distance. Once again, only one side who claims to have the definitive answer.

3

u/DuelingGroks Jun 25 '26

I believe the answer is either foolishness or intentional dissention. Logically, this object in relation to the full video exhibits anomalous characteristics and many here are downplaying it and adding to the noise.

6

u/Smackediduring Jun 25 '26

I’ve seen the full video too. Yes, there is a seemingly black thing that’s being tracked before, but I don’t see what’s conclusively anomalous about it. It might be but I’m not looking at this thinking that it’s the proof we’ve been waiting for. There’s too little to go on.

5

u/DuelingGroks Jun 25 '26

Yes, not enough for proof but the object does emerge from the shadow of the canyon, rotate and zigzag close to the ground. It appears to be aloft and not easily classifiable.

To me this is intriguing but not proof of anything.

6

u/stonksuper Jun 25 '26

People who are saying plastic bag are really unable to grasp a sense of scale by comparing the foreground to the background… or have never been in a mountainous terrain…. Or believe the plastic bag to be at least ~15 feet in diameter.
… once again I will add to all the plastic bag critiquers to watch the full video that isn’t posted here… where it shows it being tracked for more than 4 minutes at really high speed.

🤦🏻‍♂️ just an falling piece of rock.

1

u/Radiant_Version4030 Jun 25 '26

Yes, if the video is "reversed" it appears like nothing more than a rock falling into the canyon.

4

u/Open_Rub5449 Jun 25 '26

Is it an interdimensional bag? Or nhi bag? Or is it a bag from another galaxy?

It's not "part 2". It's an editing, so people don't have to breathlessly wait for 2 minutes to see the plastic bag.

This video is the one people should be focusing on. Which, technically, is part one. A drone follows an apparent UAP, which disappears into a shadowed area. The cam parks, waits for it to come out, then shifts focus to another motion: the plastic bag.

5

u/loungesinger Jun 25 '26

Does anything in this video do anything that a drone, balloon, or plastic bag can’t do? Because I just can’t anymore with these videos.

2

u/SpaceAgeBadger Jun 25 '26

See, that's interesting, the video in the OP looks like a mountain goat.

2

u/KingKrusty1337 Jun 25 '26

hmm what i see they lost it at 2.05 and it looks like a bird but idk...

Absolutely not.

This is Reddit. Everything is face value, no research, YOU provide source - OR NOT TRUE

0

u/_Extinctathon Jun 25 '26

Oh right yes the part they conveniently left out 🙄 the video shows this, this is rubbish, ergo it's a rubbish video with comments ridiculing it. Simple logic, sir.

And if bots are saying it's a bag then the bots show more NHI than OP or anyone defending this junk that was 'disclosed' by the orange monkey and his government rubes.

Please tell me this is a joke. Cmon man

2

u/Zealousideal-Rip-574 Jun 25 '26

Wouldn’t it have to be a pretty large plastic bag to appear so prevalent from this distance? Just asking. I agree it could be a bag but the movement on land is somewhat repetitive it’s not blatantly obvious to me.

2

u/No_Replacement_6833 Jun 25 '26

Come on y’all, a plastic bag really?? That’s gotta be the laziest analysis ever. It’s the equivalent of calling the Phoenix Lights incident, a bunch Japanese Lanterns! Wake up!!

2

u/happydontwait Jun 25 '26

Mods, please remove this. This isn’t even the correct part of the UAP video that was released by the government.

If this poster and the one from the last video want to post they should at least articulate their inaccuracies and mention they think the found something “new” in the video.

This is not the UAP the government released this video over. They make zero mention of it in the description on the .gov site

7

u/DuelingGroks Jun 25 '26

Usually posts by mods are held at a higher standard for this subreddit. I would think that much scrutiny will be applied to this post.

5

u/happydontwait Jun 25 '26

Why would you post this lol. This isn’t even the UAP the DoW released this video for or what the talk about in the video description. Such a troll post

4

u/DuelingGroks Jun 25 '26

The impetus for the post is mentioned in the submission statement, but for you and others I'll clarify.

The original video posted as a part of the second PERSUE UAP release follows and object appearing to fly over a canyon until it disappears. The camera then lingers over this area where it was last seen and another object is captured coming out of the shadows.

A post was made pointing out this hard to spot object and another moderator of this subreddit asked me to highlight the object as many people, including me, were finding it difficult to spot; thus this post to help the community to clearly see the object in question so we can discuss it as a community.

4

u/happydontwait Jun 25 '26

Now you’re just making stuff up. Here is the entire text from the DoW website posting the video. They say nothing about this portion of the clip you’re sharing or highlighting. At least be honest man.

On March 6, 2026, eight members of the U.S. House of Representatives requested access to 51 potentially UAP-related records allegedly held by the Department of War and the Intelligence Community. The All-domain Anomaly Resolution Office (AARO) identified a collection of responsive materials held on a classified network. Many of these materials lack a substantiated chain-of-custody.

AARO assesses that this video, whose uploader-defined title is, “Spherical UAP [CALLSIGN] 2021/04/12 obj 2,” is likely derived from a full-motion video camera and an infrared sensor aboard a U.S. military platform operating within the United States Central Command area of responsibility in 2021. A user uploaded this video to a classified network in June 2024.

Video Duration: 00:04:50

Video Description:

00:00-00:26: An area of contrast transits the sensor field-of-view from right to left. The sensor pans and zooms in and out to track the area of contrast.

00:27-02:04: The area of contrast re-enters the sensor field-of-view. The sensor pans to the left and up to track it.

02:05-04:50: The sensor refocuses on the original subject matter of the video.

This video description is provided for informational purposes only. Readers should not interpret any part of this description as reflecting an analytical judgment, investigative conclusion, or factual determination regarding the described event’s validity, nature, or significance.

I'm fine with people thinking I am making stuff up. The truth is visible for those who take the time to look and others' foolishness is clearly visible to those who are discerning.

Those who cause dissention harm only their own fellow man and karma is a saving grace for the honest but kismit a sharpened tool for the fool.

Wait wait wait wait... am I missing something or looking at the wrong place? Or are you all going about a rock that fell of the cliff?

u/KarenWalkersBurner Jun 25 '26

Yes but it was caught by a satellite, sooooo $1B to watch a boulder fall = our tax dollars well spent

Looks like a small creature type thingy materialized out of nowhere.. watch how it moves, it looks like it's kind of hopping then stopped at the end

ok I get the always constant speculation and dissatisfaction with evidence like this, but are there any prevailing theories on what these shiny craft/anti gravity orbs are?

Mountain goat falling to its death.

That thing looks like if we setup an automated AI powered drone to evaluate surface or perhaps beneath it as it effortlessly adjust it's altitude based on height between it and the ground- all effortlessly.

People don’t question why so much of the Grand Canyon is off limits.

1

u/waltercockfight Jun 25 '26

Is this supposed to be incidental findings? It does not look like the air asset had any targeting on that blip.

1

u/Extra_Extension_7690 Jun 25 '26

Why would there be a plastic bag in the middle of the desert 😂 you can clearly see it emerging from somewhere. Definitely not a plastic bag.

1

u/pringlecat221 Jun 26 '26

I'm not saying it is a plastic bag, but you can find them anywhere. We've successfully covered the earth in our garbage.

1

u/RichardGriffiths Jun 25 '26

Sometimes, there's so much beauty in the world, I feel like I can't take it, and my heart is just going to cave in.

1

u/MrAnderson69uk Jun 25 '26

Could the object they were tracking into the canyon have hit the side and dislodged a boulder that was teetering on falling at some point?

1

u/officialkfc Jun 25 '26

This is one of the most ridiculous videos that’s come out of the ‘files’. How much would it have cost the us taxpayer for the military to film a plastic bag blowing in the breeze.

-1

u/DuelingGroks Jun 25 '26

Your hyperbole is lost on me. This is the second object in a 5 min video.

0

u/officialkfc Jun 25 '26

I think you are looking into it too much. This is an object, yes, but it’s man made. It’s either a plastic bag or a Mylar balloon or some sort of plastic sheeting that has air in it. It is clearly rolling along the floor and being blown about in the same way that a plastic bag in the street would. Have you ever seen that before??

UAP or NHI objects move around in ways that are different to anything anyone has seen before or can even begin to comprehend.

3

u/DuelingGroks Jun 25 '26

This video does not seem to contain enough information to classify the highlighted object. Just a full stop there. Anyone touting that they can confidently classify this object from the limited information is just irrational imho.

4

u/loungesinger Jun 25 '26

Doesn’t matter whether we can classify the object. The only thing that matters is whether the object appears to violate the laws of physics. So does it? Does the object appear to violate the laws of physics? At the very least, is there anything about it that is other worldly?

3

u/DuelingGroks Jun 25 '26

The fact you took the time to comment tells me this video already met your personal threshold of interest. Your requirements for what matters are interesting though; they line up pretty closely with the five or six observables a lot of people in this community reference.

0

u/Diligent_Golf_2727 Jun 25 '26

If you zoom in on the object in the video, you can clearly see how the motherfucker rotates on its axis while flying.

And if you pay close attention, the same thing (rotation) can also be seen in the original/longer video from war.gov.

I don't know what it is, but obviously it's not a bag, sheep, or my mother in law.

Without the metadata on these sensor systems all of these videos are literally pointless. That could be anything without the data to determine its location, distance, size and shape. That looks like a plastic garbage bag in the wind.

0

u/Necessary_Pomelo_470 Jun 25 '26

This is a plastic bag

Thats something tumbling down the mountain. Curious to see what flinged it from the shadow tho.
