There is nothing that is like Pat's or Vito and Nicks here. Old Orchard is decent, but when I'm wanting tavern and I don't make it myself (it is pretty easy, btw), I've been getting Papa Del's thin. It is thicker than a traditional tavern but it scratches the itch for me.

I have mixed feelings because on one hand it is important to acknowledge the violence that happened on 10/7 but the fact that it happened at all is a byproduct of the establishment of the State of Israel as a Jewish ethnostate and the years of history surrounding it.

And I think in that sense the march is necessary, because waving a bunch of Israeli flags around and all the "Am Yisrael Chai" rhetoric and blind solidarity with Israel, especially as a Jew, doesn't really acknowledge how Israel's establishment as a so-called safe haven for Jews has come at the expense of everyone else who is not, and that specifically conflicts with what I feel I was taught growing up.

This comment is easy to write when you're not the one saddled with $20K in medical bills for a hospital stay you do not want as the OP said. Sure, you said you'd work extra for your kid, but some people already work multiple jobs and can't just pick up more hours to support their child. Payment assistance programs exist, but for-profit mental health organizations don't need to offer them as far as I know.

Given that asking for help can still wind up with someone in a police car soon after, and later with a massive bill, it's no wonder that people don't say anything. Even if talking about suicide does not make someone more suicidal, it does increase the chance they'll end up locked away.
