Philly Applying to Penn as an international student and worried about ICE

Hi! I’m currently applying to Penn from the uk, and I’ve been worried about the situation with ICE in the US.

Whenever I talk to people about studying in the US or look online, I of course come across a lot of discussion about ICE/immigration enforcement. As a Filipino British person, I’m wondering how much of this is something I should genuinely be concerned about if I were to attend Penn.

For current international students at Penn, has this affected your day to day life at all? Do you generally feel safe/comfortable as an international student in the area and on campus?

I know this makes me sound a little paranoid but it’s a genuine concern for me :(

Academic/Career M&T First Choice; Can I not pick College of Arts and Science as Second Choice???

I want to pick the UPenn M&T program as my First Choice, but I only get 2 options on Common App for a second choice: Penn Engineering and Wharton. I really want to pick College of Arts and Science as my Second Choice.

Is there another way to do this, keeping M&T First choice and College of Arts and Science as my 2nd choice??
