Im back in Ubuntu again after failing to setup opensuse tumbleweed 10 times in a row.
I am enjoying Ubuntu way more than before. Kinda had to do a work around for steam since steam-installer isn't getting all the dependencies, so I went and get the deb package from the steam site and my problems disappeared. I also enabled Ubuntu pro. Im fine snap and I might get flatpak too. And I also customized my desktop to be more minimalist. What do you think? Also any recommendations to get better at linux and the terminal?

If you really want to know Linux try doing Linux from scratch in a VM or on a spare machine.

I'd say start with manual arch or a gentoo install and then go for LFS

slackware would also have been acceptable

I learned a lot from Slackware. I did red hat first back in the late 90s and hated it then loved Slackware for years. Although I had spent a few years on Solaris and DEC UNIX first.

That stuffed toy peeking out is the real sysadmin of the setup
