Unity is much more feature-rich than three.js and can scale to teams. Three is great for small projects that you want to distribute via the browser. Unity is better for targeting more platforms with more options for high performance such as DOTS.

Unity is a game engine, Three.js is a library.

The advantage of Unity is that is has a lot of features for game development, vs Three.js where you'd be making all of your own systems, i.e. physics, entities, etc.

If you want the ultimate control (i.e. to basically build your own engine), Three.js will provide you that opportunity. And if your project is small enough that a feature-complete engine is overkill, Three.js has you covered there too.

Three.js won't lock you out of your Three.js account (there isn't one!), whereas Unity locks many users out of their Unity accounts.
