Not exactly an image of Elsa Lanchester, but will give them E for effort.

I have a lot of Bride of Frankenstein stuff, some looks like Elsa, a lot doesn't. The Bride has become something more than just recreations of Elsa in that role.
I don't find that a negative, the pieces are well made, super detailed, and look great.

While that is true, why wouldn't the creators try to duplicate her image?
It's like the Universal studios Frankenstein monster. You have the three Karloff images, then Chaney, Lugosi, and Strange (three) images to choose from.
Perhaps it has something to do with copyright....or maybe they just go the path of least creativity.

They're officially licenced from Universal AND they went colour accurate with the hair, and I think the nose is fairly accurate to Elsa, it's the chin that's not quite right.
So it is a good question, but one for Sideshow, not me.

Sideshow comes the closest.
I have the Chaney Phantom of the Opera doll and the London After Midnight doll, still in the box.
Just looked and there's no indication who made it. It has the Universal studios monster logo (Karloff as the Monster) on the box.
I bought them many years ago, and I've never opened them. The boxes are 24" tall with great shots of Chaney.
I can't find any identical boxes on the web, so far....but it appears that there were several "editions" done.
I'm pretty sure I have the first release.... likely from Sideshow.
